I re-signed up on the 18th apparently. It really doesn't seem that long a go, I think at that time I was mostly hitting refresh on the MM forsale page to grab the bargains or posting about modding cases in the early days of cutting your own holes with a jigsaw and the latest invention of the UV Cold cathodes, or you know covering thm in fake fur.

Fav moment: I worked next door to a rolling road in Cheltenham, so when the forums organised one of the legendary motor meets (must have been berofre 2004 IIRC), I persuaded work to let me open the carpark so people didn't have to clog up the road, it was great to meet quite a few of the guys, offered people drinks etc..
People might be opinionated on the forums, but everyone was a star in real life.
History:
I joined in October 2002 and was a lowly software engineer, motorbike and tech mad, so found OCUK a good place that overlapped with my interests.
I've always been around the forums, I don't post that much, and had a few arguments over the years but never enjoy them and am sure I could share a pint with anyone here even if our views may differ.
I've been fortunate to use my love of tech in my career and that's been a real enabler to getting to senior management. You would be amazed how knowledge and experience of PC tech has been used when developing some next gen life saving devices!
