Fairly close, the reason this card is so good is that the VRAM allows for even greater performance in demanding games.

The cooler is really quiet and looks great too! most of the 570s have louder coolers than this and run a lot hotter too

The FrozrIII as rjk says above is fantastic, mines been runnign aince I gto italbeit a 6950 version, deadly silent even when I've been gaming.

Very high build wuality as well :)

And dammit rjk thats not a 2500k chip :( :p

ALERT: :D

How does this compare to Sapphire hd 6970????

Because i think this gpu looks awesome and is much cooler than my 85-90C sapphire card? would also look amazing in my white/black/grey colour scheme.

Blame Andrew Moore :o

or if you plan on playing BF3
(check out the 1GB vs 2GB comparison floating around the news section somewhere)

that's right, expect more games to be heading this way in future.

I for one welcome it, pushing hardware means i am getting my moneys worth rather than just playing console ports :p

Im sure many people already know this around here but i have a fact of the day for you all.

Over 90% of PC games are not paid for, hence they design for console and port to PC because all the money is in PS3 games that cant be as easily stolen.

I think OCUK and other large PC companies should really focus on trying to stop this. We would get much better games if people actually paid for the hard work that is put into making them.

I'm still only seeing an average 30'ish frames per second...if thats enough for people then go for it, but for me, fast online FPS games need frame rates in the high 40's or low 50's as an absolute minimum, which a 2Gb 560 SLI setup would easily deliver @1080p or above.

Well if you enjoy 15fps minimums with an average barely squeaking past 30fps then go right ahead.

Meanwhile back in the real world everyone else would just drop a couple of settings that make no noticeable difference while gaming and get identical performance from the 1GB card.
