So on behalf of the sane majority of people on these forums and who buy from you, thank you for the great deals every day/week!

I agree, whilst some of them are less brilliant than others, the majority are excellent. Kudos to you.

To be fair there has been some excellent deals recently. Why do people quibble over a couple of quid when they're already spending hundreds on tech that will be worth very little in a few months?

I like OCUK's website, very clear and easy to use and their customer interaction on this forum is way ahead of anything else I've experienced. If anything I would say avoid trying to justify yourself so much to those whose maths is a little suspect ;) If a man builds a better mouse trap the world will beat a path to his door :)

Ok substitute PC and something about prices but you know what I mean...

Most people obviously weren't bothered about shipping - both deals sold out pretty quickly. I for one appreciate the free shipping OcUK gives for forum loyalists.

Remember folks, if you don't like the deals here - as the BBC always says 'other web shops are available' :)

This one I found strange there was no limit on the number it just said 24 hours so I assumed till they were all sold.
I looked and it said sold out @ £217.36 yet there were still stock for sale @ £234.99.
Seemed odd as it would have made more sense to say 10 (using 10 as no idea how many there were at this price) processors available for 24 hours @ £217.36.
I intended to buy one for system I was building but by the time I had come back from collecting my daughter from school all were sold.
Still a good price but still think the offer seems poorly worded.
Shipping was not a factor as I intended to buy a full system not just the processor.

There was 20 at the special price which is very clearly shown when the deals go live and then as they are sold the stock counts down, when the allocated stock sells out at special price, well the website says SOLD OUT, but you can still buy stock at regular price.

TODAY ONLY deals have a quantity set as to how many there is available at that price.

So for example we might have 500 I7 950 units in stock, but for TODAY ONLY we shall only make 20 available at the special discounted price and that price goes back up either when the 20 have sold out or 9am the following day.

Thank you for the reply Gibbo

Ow thats harsh, not to mention that you ARE entitled to a refund within 7 days. In future if they are not reasonable, you might as well return the item and just order again. The real hassle is on them.

Next time I will, I was just trying to save them and me the hassle of returning and re-ordering the same product for the sake of £15.

Could understand If I was asking for the refund in cash but just wanted the difference to spend here.

Whilst I understand Overclockers instance on this matter I have got to say that there is a competitor, which also offers free delivery to members of a certain forum under similar kind of requisites as OCUK but they always offer free shipping on their Today Only offers and all other items.

I think for sake of your sanity and other not-so-attentive members it might be a good idea to either disable it all together for these Today Only deals or Enable it for all cases IMHO.

The one thing a business should not try to do is alienate its customers, at the end of the day the competitor is only a click away!

typical-last week i order a 930, next day they are on offer, yesterday i order some patriot memory-today that is on offer-fed up is an understatement.
