That's what happens when people take a political side as if it's a sport and the only options are 'Us vs Them'. You're either woke or you're not... Only people incapable of their own thoughts and ideas think like this. If everything comes down to a binary choice, you are part of the extremist problem.
I'd be willing to be the quiet/silent majority of people are centrists with some things on the left the agree with and something on the right that they agree with. That is balanced and normal.
If you're completely left or completely right you're likely a person with very little life experience outside of you own bubble.

The word has been changed so much and twisted that now no one knows what it means.
For me, it means you're not 'sleeping'/you are aware of issues which effect others and not necessarily yourself. I really don't understand why people would think that a mindset where you don't wish to alienate people and make everyone feel accepted and included is a bad thing. Can you get over zealous people with it? Of course but that's like everything.
Personally, I'd much rather be labelled 'woke' than the opposite. Being a ***** shouldn't be some sort of badge of honour. "Oh I don't care about anyone else look at me, I'm 'ard". Compassion and understanding is what deserves a badge of honour but everyone wants to be an edge lord today because caring about others isn't cool.
