willis -is that really ure bathroom, i dont think even I/we could use that!

im paying £65 a week. Apart from the bathroom and bog its a decent semi house. big rooms (bar 1) and overall quite a nice house

Yes but YOU lot live in it :(

You think that's bad?

Should have seen my uni house from last year. We have THREE of those large toadstool looking-things. What did my housemates do? Banned anyone from cleaning them up and NAMED them like they were trophies.

Also the toilet leaked once, urine all over the floor. They just let it dry into the ground (this was after I moved out so I wasn't going to touch it).

The second bathroom is caked in hair. You want to brush your teeth? You have to unclog the hair from the taps first.

So trust me, Geeza's is far from the worst.

Going up there end of the month (hopefully and if I can bear it).

I'll see what I can do. But if they see me with a camera they'll probably assume i'm contacting Hazmat and take it off me. :D

I wish I had taken pictures of some of the places my mates used to live in. They were all like it so we never thought of taking pictures so we could look back..... kinda seemed normal after all your mates are living like it. For the record my house had the odd pizza box lying about but we couldn't live like the rest of our mates.

I'll give you some examples:-
I went round one friends house and banged on the door. He came downstairs and opened the door. Walking past the stairs I noticed something... it was a dead mouse! In the time it had taken my mate to come downstairs, a mouse had crawled out and died on their stairs :D

The same one had a crack in the bath causing mould and actual mushrooms to grow under the bath. The landlord wouldn't do anything so they carried on using the bath/shower. Over the course of a year the mould had spread from the bathroom, along the corridor and was encrouching on the kitchen doorframe. The kitchen floor was kinda "bouncy" as either the floor joists or the wood was broken.... It was even let out the following year in that state

well, we decided to clean up. My eyes are now stinging from the bleach and fingers are hurting a bit too (i had rubber gloves on aswell) got down n cleaned that crap hole up.

The big star mushroom sort of crumpled when i poked it, i thought it would be spongy some how. I think it was living off the concrete crumbling away in the corner (where the hole now is) so that person was right on here i reckon

Anyway, its all clean now even the nasty orange stains on the wall. The bin even got cleaned too. Mats are in the wash

Geez, that was really disgusting, though not as bad as when i was growing up as a kid visiting my grans in Ireland during late 70's early 80's. No running water (had to go to the water hand pump 2 miles down the road each day!), no electricity outside of the main kitchen area (lots of candles and torches!) no heating etc etc.

The toilet over there consisted of an old oil drum cut in half with a bog seat balanced on it, in the out house that was 20metres away from the house, so a trip to the kazi at 2am was a frightening experience for a kid! Got emptied every morning by my uncles in the quarry pit that was dug in the farmyard. think yourselves lucky :)
