What the hell , I'm trying to play a ranked game with my mates who are both above rank 20 , but I'm getting really weird lag :(

Don't think their rank will affect lag. It's most likely you've been connected to the wrong region servers.

As for the above maybe a stupid question but has the SSD got enough space? The download is compressed so requires more room than it says to uncompressed initially. I don't think the extended size is counted in the total space.

Could install to HDD then copy it over I guess.

it could be that maybe? it shows plenty of room though but as you say maybe the uplay size shown isnt the actual true space needed! ill see how it goes on hdd for now and maybe attempt to copy it over later :)

30gb according to system labs.

ok thanks :) was only 14GB listed when choosing a location!

just started and first impressions are the menus are a mess, looks kind of free to play, dunno! and how do you know which operator you want to unlock when you havent really used any of the kit/perks etc, seems an odd wall to put up

Situations take you through a few of them.

Personally I only ever use thatcher and mute (occasionally twitch).

Menus are rather ugly I concur.

Not sure if you know but you can watch/skip the tutorials to get enough credits for your first operator.

didnt know this, will do :) ta just dont know who to pick! :D

I'd play a few of the situations see how your aim is in the game. If it's solid and you're quick on reflexes I'd grab twitch/thatcher for offense and mute for defense. If your aim isn't great or not quick on the draw is go for Montaigne or the flash shield guy for offense and defense use maybe smoke for some remote traps.

That's the part that would be helpful isn't it :D.

Thankfully most of its self explanatory and the key bindings are displayed on the weapon slot.

I've only done half the situations but I feel it would be better to a crash course tutorial rather than the way they are currently. I feel most of the information could be condensed into one mission with ease. Use the time saved to create more mp maps.

How did everyone fair with the scenarios? Did anyone dive straight into multiplayer?

I used to be a strong Rogue Spear player, and decided to dive straight in to the scenarios on realistic difficulty. Quite challenging, but then I don't have the same reactions I did when I was 16. I do like that tactics are helpful, although of course the AI is non-existent.

One thing I have noticed is that aiming is poor. Probably a throwback to the old ways as in this video. The cursors expand as you move simulating innaccuracy. Unfortunately, it seems to have the effect that automatic fire is more dependable (even at long range) then single shots.

Also, the graphics aint all that. I'm comfortably running everything full on an R9 390X, yetit still seems 'doll house'. I would have preferred ultra realistic. I'm going to steadfastly continue to complete all the scenarios on realistic before I dive in to multiplayer. I really hope it's a great game, and it gives me the enjoyment I had as a youth.

My longest game time on Steam is 974 hours on EU4, but I would guess I probably hit at least double that on Rogue Spear. It's a franchise close to my heart.

Before these kills did anyone get spotted by little robots? Was all robots taken out?

We use them all the time to call a player and one bang them through walls or doors..

Start of each round it helps to keep track how meny robots are gone. And what others see vs what you see.

Getting kills through walls in this game isn't hard.

No,

We were on the plane, I was in a room with absolutely no cameras and no drones yet a guy started shooting at me perfectly the SECOND i moved out of cover, and then a guy shot me in a single shot headshot through the roof of the plane.

I normally do not call hacks but these guys were insanely suspect it was untrue.

Not that I'm trying to take sides, but if you hug walls there are bugs that shows some limbs poking through to other clients, so people know where you are. Also, the windows on the plane can be shot through by Glaz (good thing to know for defending the press area / bedroom zones!)

Yeah I have abused the glitchy stuff at times by shooting feet as they stick through, I was in the middle of the room though so not near the wall. Glaz also shot me through the ceiling of the plane not through a window.

Loving this game. Finished all the situations last night for some easy XP to unlock more operators :)

The situations were good to learn the individual operators and to earn some easy renown.
