Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Revealed

I honestly don't think they're bothered about fixing it, loads of people are complaining about the issues with it and the only thing ubi are doing is pushing the fact that they have an esports comp on, they just aren't arsed about the community

Won't lie I watched a bit of that stream and was rather bored of it.

They spent the whole time strafing in and out of corners waiting for someone to appear.

Siege is a game that is more fun to play than it is to watch. Whereas for me csgo can be equal/ more fun to watch as it is to play. part of that is due to the fact that there can be soo much going on at any one time in siege thus making it difficult to cover the action well. I will say the fact the stream was in the over head view for the vast majority of the time diddn't really help the viewing experience either.

I think it was the play style that bored me. There wasn't one of me rushing into a room and getting a kill or two before going "omg how did that even work".

An hour or so peeking the same corners is kinda dry.

i've returned to playing FC3, the difference is huge, it's miles more fun.... it just keeps spawning enemies, such a laugh, esp the grenade launcher.

this is what a good shooter is all about....... or close to it

To be fair you've been playing the limited SP side of a primarily MP shooter, bit unfair comparing the two really.

You can't compare this to Far Cry 3, it's nothing like it and is aimed towards a completely different player base.
Far Cry 3 is a open world fps aimed at the single player while Rainbow 6 is a tactical squad based multi player game, you can't compare the 2.

:D ouch. Bit of a shambles isn't it now;

-free wall hacks
-paid hacks galore
-dosing is remedially easy
-lag compensation OTT thus teams using VPNs to inflate pings.
-fairfight is clearly not implimented.

If they can fix the above I'd love it again. Just seems to be getting worse.

The other option is that they make the hacks a part of the game, so everyone has them :D

Would still prefer punkbuster!

Guess time will tell. I'm going to keep an eye on Reddit to see how many "wrongly banned" threads happen to see if it's actually working before I go back.

All I can see that doing is getting loads of good players temporarily suspended due to losers\kiddies raging.

Don't identify potential cheaters, come up with a way to prevent genuine ones!!!

All this says to me is they don't really have a clue how to catch them

It's a nice step in the right direction but this update feels a bit like "too little too late", especially now that the playerbase has decreased exponentially due to wide spread cheating and will likely drop even further now that the division is out.

Won't work, majority of people that bought this won't buy twice based on something that should have been patched day 1.

They had a genuine competitor for the esports scene here I feel, and have screwed themselves both on pricing and anticheat. Csgo, good anticheat and severs plus it's £15 out of sale, versus no anticheat just player reporting and £60.

I really like the game still, but I've got zero confidence when going into a match I'll be playing with legit players, casual or ranked

Unfortunately I would be happy to bet money that it would sell just as well.

Heck I'd probably still buy it for the 150 hours of fun before I get sick of script kiddies.

I'm still wondering if the divisions voip setting description is a subtle dig at them lol.
