o god, played this online til 6am this morning. online play is amazing!!!! the tension is amazing...

a game that has great single player and amazing multi.... wooohoooo :eek: :eek: :eek:

Mana... if you played this til 6am this morning.. when did you get the game? Thought the earliest you could get a game would be Thurs (today)?

Although after saying that, theres a place near me that sells games a few days b4 its release, at full price though so I'd rather wait an extra day for the £40 equiv!
 
Mine came today, just been playing some multiplayer.

It is a big improvement the way they have simplified things (no mines, no spy guns etc) so it is pure stealth. And I threw some guy from a window I was hanging from...felt goooood!

Good idea. The previous multiplayer was brilliant but just too hard to get into. Found myself avoiding it for quite a while

EDIT: Just bought it. Stupid play-asia and their cheapness, I'm a broke student ffs
 
I pre-ordered mine and it still hasn't come yet. I'm only looking forward to 2 games this year for the 360 and this is one of them (other is GoW obviously) and I'm not a patient man :( I need it now!. It was one of my reasons for buying an Xbox 360 back in Febuary ready for the March release but then it got delayed to Q4 2006 :/. All the new trailers every few days just makes it worse for me to wait
 
Bloody Hell play-asia don't mess around, only paid for it a couple of hours ago and it's been shipped already. Hopefully will be here around Wednesday for 24 hours gaming prior to football friday (or thursday \o/).

Really want this. Got a few old Xbox games to shift so might trade them in at Game see what I can get.
What are achivements like on this?
 
Anyone else think the graphics are stunning? I have noticed the tearing though but it's one fine looking game, I loved snapping a guys neck underwater! Absolutely loving this game so far!

i ordered it last night and mine is on backorder!!! lol that sucks
 
Went to my local today and they didnt have it in even after 5.00pm, this is the first time my local hasnt had a game in a day early!!! Think i did have a problem with chaos theory though when that was out!
 
Recieved my copy today and have got as far as the 2nd level which is in the prison about i reckon half way through that level.

Im running it on a samsung hdtv via component and as said a post or two above i think the graphics look stunning at times through my hdtv and am reallly enjoying the game thus far.

Of course on the technical down side slightly though yet again with another 360 game but this is as only far as ive got though, the framerate takes quite a battering at times with v-sync disabled aswell..(u know the lovely tearing..) especially quite abit during the prison section.

Still overall glad i bought it and gonna shoot off to play it more now!. :)

I will be more surprised when I get a game without tearing/frame rate issues than with it.

I think I'm gonna order this game though from what ive seen and read.
 
Damn, wasn't going to bother with this game. Is it really this good?

I didn't get on with past splinter cell's on the XBox (though tbh I never really gave them much chance), but I've loved Hitman and similar on the 360.

What's it similar too?

Its not fast paced, id say its kinda like Metal Gear / Hitman.

Im a big fan of the series though, and it really is a great game - great stories, great voice acting. And great gameplay, so many ways to do things - i try not to shoot at all, and be uber stealthy

Hmm, I am starting to fancy this then as I loved Hitman, and Thief of old.
