Tom Cruise Scientology

hmmmmmmm

know a little about scientology,

but cannot let over-edited videos such as mentioned even influence my opinion. I would much rather watch the interview in its entirity than watch something that clearly has hidden agendas (not to even mentioned the silly background music).

Not to say I like cruise or agree with what he preaches, but really these over-edited videos that are held in so much esteem these days... it reminds me of michael moore and the filth he produced (and always does) when he learnt how to use a camera and edit a film.

something you should have a read of. although i agree the micael moore style pap that's coming out is god awful.

I've seen a little shop like place they have in Manchester I'm so tempted ever time i see it :p

Yeah, I've seen that. Apparently it's a church of scientology but it just looks like a shop.

I've been tempted many times to go in there and see what that try and get me to do/think.

I've converted a Jehovah's witness :D

To what? Have you got them taking decaffeinated coffee now?

Am I the only person who sees the scientologists in town centres and has a massive urge to go up and ask how I can join their cult... :)

I don't know that I've ever seen a Scientologist although I think I may have seen a church of theirs which looked rather shabby, perhaps that is where the funding is meant to go? I'm also not sure I'd want to ask a Scientologist how to join, if their description of how to do it is anything like Battlefield Earth then it will be probably overly long, turgid and unbelieveable - in the interests of fairness I should say though my view is based on edited highlights and reviews rather than watching the film.

I would say there are far more Jedi than Scientologists ;):p

390,000 were registered via the census in England & Wales in 2001. The Force is strong !

I think it should be illegal for religious organisations to charge for membership. It's obviously a scam if they are. If they really thought their religion was the right path and they were trying to help people, they'd do it for free. Say what you want about the Catholic church, at least they don't charge for membership and you're free to leave at any time.

cba to explain my views, so i'll let these guys do it for me ...

... could not have said it better myself!

You most probably have at some point, it's not like they all wear t-shirts with stuff like "Scientology is cool" or "Jehova's a ledge" :p

True. Most are your typical normal average person.

If Mr Cruise was not a high big profile celeb people would not care what he believes in.

yes but he can influence massive amounts of people, which is why the palaeontologists(****ing auto correct) go after celebs

'You drive by an accident and you're not like anyone else. You know you have to help, you know you're the only one who can help'

Do all Scientology followers get trained as Firefighters? :p

What makes Scientology a cult and say Christianity or any other major world religion not? Is it the money thing?

Personally Scientology seems like madness to me.
