I enjoyed it, but after playing uncharted 1, 2 and 3 not long before it was more of the same. It has overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, so I'm obviously in the minority in not thinking it is a masterpiece.

I'd imagine the timed release hasn't helped as all the hype has been and gone.

My only fear is that after all the bitching about lack of tombs in TB2013 they cut back the action for jumping puzzle's

Steam is most likely the only official way to get a preload key the other sellers are usually on or just before release day. Think I will buy from Steam even though its £15 more at least you can get a full refund if the game is poor!

..but that's what Tomb Raider was. Puzzles and platforming. TR2013 was great, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't true to the name.

I think the point he's making is that he enjoyed the action focus of TR2013 more than the puzzly-platformy style of early Tomb Raider games.
