Tomb Raider - Rise of the Raider PC

From that link

“CERTAIN FILES OF THE ANTI-TAMPER TECHNOLOGY MAY REMAIN EVEN AFTER THE PRODUCT IS UNINSTALLED FROM YOUR COMPUTER. “

Wonder what that will be doing then on the machine after uninstall...
No-one knows for sure. Mad Max, Just Cause 3, Batman Arkham Knight, Lords Of The Fallen all used the same Denuvo DRM. Probably just the Denuvo DRM module remains on your PC they cannot spy on it though (Starforce did look what happened to them everyone stopped using the DRM once it became known they were using stealth install methods to gain root level access).

Most SP only PC games will now use Denuvo as it guarantees a sale due to their being no way to tamper with the DRM & avoid buying the game. Great news for PC gamers in a way as it guarantees higher sales for SP only games so publishers are more likely to concentrate on this again in future instead of forcing all these MP/Co-Op modes in SP games which are undeveloped to make way for the unrequired online game modes (like TR2013  )

I think SP only PC games is a massive market on PC waiting to be plundered instead of all these online only games which are more or less the same!

Does that .34m figure include digital sales on PC?

rough est......but remember AMD giving away keys with last tomb raider; means those keys were bought a lot cheaper than they'd sold retain. Same thing with Nvidia this time around.

the big beast that can't be tapped until late this year is PS4

It would make no odds either way, if its an exclusive or timed exclusive its because they were paid to male it one, makes no difference of we all rush out and buy it.
You assume that what they were paid definitely compensated for potential lost sales on other platforms, which is hardly a guaranteed thing. If people dont buy the game on these other platforms when it finally comes out on them, they will assume they didn't actually lose much and therefore treat the moneyhat as successful.

Seriously, see it from their point of view, not a consumer point of view. I'm not saying you should definitely go buy it, but if you're trying to 'make a statement' with your purchasing decision, you may not be sending the message you think you are.

I'm looking forward to this but everything I've heard says more of the same. TR was good but not a patch on the original for actual exploration and atmosphere. I'll pick it up when its a tenner

Been many many many years since i'd played TR before the 2013 reboot, what im watching at the minute on the stream ive got to say im impressed... just hope the overall story line is decent and there is some tomb raiding involved...

Why? It won't unlock until release on Steam. Sure it will arrive before then.

I understand that, but if I ordered from a online retailer I would have it the day before, I don't want sending the key on the afternoon/evening of release day when they fancy it.

cdkeys just sent out my code for those who purchased from there :)

Nothing in my inbox yet, should be soon then.

Still waiting on mine from CJS.

Saw a post on their FB page yesterday saying they'd be sent out 'today' so I'm hoping it'll be available by this evening so I can pre-load.
