Tomorrow - A level result thread

Good luck to everyone and I hope that your exam board doesn't **** it up. However remember that even if you don't get precisely what you want it isn't the end of the World as there are still plenty of other options. :)

I don't remember being particularly nervous before getting my results apart from possibly the final couple of minutes waiting to open the envelope.

I particuarly enjoyed my rediculously low grade requirements to get on the course compared to my peers. A few of my friends from poh-shhh schools were given offers of AAA, whilst I was given BBB for the same course.

Mmm Churchill - more people from Eaton than state schools one year. Well, its not all that bad I know quite a few who went there but it is by far the most pompous hall. I went into poncey hall number 2 'Wills Hall', but asked to be in the New Quad to avoid the pretentious people.

Clifton Hill House on the downs? I don't think so - try 'Clifton' :p

Yes, I just completed my Biology Bsc and I am enrolled in a 2 year Law conversion course starting September.

ah, well it's churchill and wills then. it was a while since I applied for accomodation.

so great, two poncy halls :p well they looked the nicest. what can I say? ponces must have taste.

Haha, didn't cost anything except for the bus-pass. Just had to do the 11+
I see - don't worry I wasn't taking a serious dig at private schools. I find actually the clash bewteen state and private schools quite tiresome and boring.

I do find the 11+ system quite cruel, but I guess it is the best way to keep the 'best with the best'.

Being from a underpriveleged background, getting into a good school, then getting good results, is better. Gotta love lots of money for uni ;p.

idd, more pressure if your wealthy imo, and not forgetting ema, £100 bonuses for doing nothing, those were the days

That's exactly how I feel right now. I never understood worrying about something you can no longer change.

Good luck Ben and everyone else :)

I've honestly never worried about anything before in my life. Last year and the year before i didn't worry at all. This year, though, I put a load of work in, and I am bricking it.

I'm cacking myself atm :( Did my exams near enough 2 months ago, and I think I saved up all the worrying until this very day. I feel like I'm about to throw up :(

And it's just my AS! Who knows how bad I'll feel on my A2s!

Ben M, will you be studying chemistry this year?

Oh, and this is interesting on the beeb website, how good is your school? mine:

Non selective and there were some incredibly stupid people at the school which makes it quite an achievement!

Owned.
