TomTom for iPhone, worth it?

I like it on my 3gs, got the tomtom car kit for it as well, which although being ridiculously priced does improve the performance of the unit.

It also looks rather snazzy :D

Brill app, used it for a long time, both me and the wife have it on our iP4's and it does all that a standalone TomTom does.
Recently come back from a holiday in the States and used the American maps for TomTom and again worked flawlesly.
If you have an iPhone 4 you will not need the TomTom car kit, the inbuilt gps is more than good enough, just get a cheap windscreen mount.

I had it on the 3GS and it was even better on the iPhone 4. My most used 3rd party app, and I'd say the best app I have. To have nav with you at any time is extremely useful.

Just make sure you got a USB charger from your ciggie lighter and the obligatory sync cable.

Tomtom on the iPhone is amazing, as good as a top end solo unit, it's been a great life saver on numerous occasions

One of the top apps out there, have used co-pilot very breifly ...but it's not a tomtom

TomTom for iPhone has been the most reliable Sat Nav I've ever used. Yes, it's expensive, but nothing else comes close IMO.

skobbler is by far better than anything ive ever used including sat navs
they even have an offline version for europe that just uses gps with no 3g when there is no / little 3g coverage
very very good apps

It's worth paying for the traffic, I've never seen traffic that accurate on any other device. When the queue ends on the display is when I speed up! It's as though there's a helicopter following me and sending traffic updates direct to my screen.

You need a data connection for the traffic though don't you Feek? So that may be a bit awkward when in various different countries, especially as O2 like to charge £6 per MB. :p

Price is insane, but I am getting a little fed up of navfree picking stupid routes and then trying to figure out a way of changing the route to a sensible one.

Meh, I always use the built in Map on my iPhone when I'm lost and it figures out a route for me pretty well :p
