TomTom for iPhone, worth it?

OK OP, I use GPS Drive Motion X. Dunno if it works in Europe as I'm in the USA, but I can tell you, it is as good as a stand alone TomTom, and it's only 99c, with $2.99 per month for voice nav..

I done a bucket load of research on a car mount, and I now have an Exogear Exomount, which has that new type of suction pad that sticks to anything, including dash boards, leaving no residue or modification. It really is the best thing since sliced bread.

I hope for your sake it's available in Blighty.

Get yourself a decent iphone charger and you have a solution that is as good as a stand alone TomTom. I can never see myself pulling my stand alone out of its case ever again.

Hi!

I need a Sat Nav that will work all over Europe and I see that TomTom Europe is £79.99 on the app store. Now, that is fairly expensive but I have no issue paying if it's decent, I suspect it is.

Anyone here use it? What do you think?

I'll need some sort of car holder too that I can buy from a high street store, any suggestions for one of those?

Cheers.

The latest map for Europe from TomTom Navigation System is perfect and no one said something wrong about it. Try it.

Meh, I always use the built in Map on my iPhone when I'm lost and it figures out a route for me pretty well :p

Of course ... it work but you need a 3G internet connection and if you get out from your country is very expensive :). So ... i recomand a gps software lige iGO or TomTom which use AGps support(Aissisted GPS)

Ah but part of the joy about visiting places is getting lost :D

its decent, will get you from A-B rather well
but its far better to get an actual tom tom

Not for me, I just want one unit that does everything. Using bluetooth I can have my music/calls/nav all routed through my head unit. If I'm using someone else's car, I have the tom-tom on me without having to carry the unit etc.

I personally find it more beneficial to have one unit on me at all times, plus updates are free and it does it automatically each time you start the app.
