Tongue Piercing..Thoughts?

Penski, how does having a tongue piercing feel to have done?

I've contemplated getting either a tongue or PA - but worry about the pain.

Without being too graphic on the PA, what do both feel like?

^ Tongue feels a bit weird at first, you will probably keep on playing with it, you need a bit getting used to how you speak and eat but other than that you will get used to it fine.

The PA is another story, I like the way it looks and feels, you won't be able to do anything for around a month till it proper heals and you start stretching it, and you will have to re-learn how to take a **** standing up (or you can sit down like a big girl :D). Also be prepared for a bit of bleeding for the first three days.

Anyway, of the numerous chicks I'v told about most of them wanted to see it and quite a lot of them wanted to feel it so, if it floats the girl's boat, you are gonna be getting a bit more than usual ;)

Add me to MSN - psi_penskiAThotmailDOTcomOMFGIROXOR (removing the capitals) and I'll chat to you tonight - much easier than trying to explain on a family forum.

a 17 year old secretary here had hers done last year.
Towards the end of the year she got a bit ill.
Then she collapsed with sceptesema (sp? y'know, blood poisoning)
She was in a coma for 4 months.
Her liver failed and she was on dialasis (sp again?)
She is stil on dialasis and will not be able to work.
poor girl.
All because she put in a manky tongue piercing bought at the market!
be careful!!

To counter the scaremongering, she could have arrived in the same situation due to a paper cut.

Nobody has died because of a tongue piercing. A few unfortunates have died because they haven't cared for their new piercing or due to a combination of them not caring for their new piercing and having a previously undiagnosed heart condition (Mitral Valve Prolapse).

Noted. I was more pointing out that gammy things from market stalls aren't the best. get it done properly.
I'm a big fan of girls having it.

Lostkat - I'm sorry to hear about your friend but that shouldn't have happened. Under EU law it is illegal to use jewelery with any Nickle in it for an initial piercing. This includes 'stainless' and 'surgical' steel (both terms thrown around for what is in effect just plain old 316L Steel).

All piercings should be done with titanium.
Out of interest, when did the law change on this? I had the top of my ear pierced and a silver ring put in immediately, but that was about 8 years ago. My friend is a bit of a worrier (hypochondriac), and it makes me wonder whether it actually happened, or whether it's something he invented himself. It's clearly not put him off anyway, he had his toy soldier pierced last year.

If I recall correctly it was in around '99 or 2000.

Unfortunately it doesn't cover the hateful, murdering, disease-spreading beasts known as piercing guns.

Then that would make sense. I met him in 2000 when I started Uni. He had his tongue pierced then, so he might have had it done with something dodgy.

I wouldn't go near a piercing gun for quids. I can't believe they're actually still legal. My ear was done with a needle, as will it be again if I decide to have another.

p.s. thanks for the info
