Policeman pulls someone over for breaking the law shock! As for ranting at someone for driving up the hard shoulder - he got off lightly, as I believe you can get points for that? What kind of incentive is it to not do that again if all the copper says is: "Tut, tut, please don't do that again!" What's that old expression? Ah yes: if you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

My brother knows that officer personally. He was apparently being very restrained compared to his normal tone...

I was taken back by this, especially being a 206 owner. To say the Audi and truck weren't even half as damaged as the 206 was quite alarming too!

Still, he was very upset about it, you could tell when he was driving back after telling the family he was borderline ready for tears. I bet minus the cameras he would have cried. I know I would have, no matter how many years of having to deal with that situation.

I think he was quite fair to be honest. If the polce weren't firm and abrupt then nobody would care about getting stopped. I think the police should be able to give people a good kicking too, rather than a slap on the wrist and a bollocking. Maybe then people would think twice.

He did give him three points. As for the woman using the mobile in the BMW, the program was a repeat, IIRC it was filmed a couple of years ago. Sure the fact she was in lane 3 and it would have been a lot of hassle to get her onto the hard shoulder saved her a spot fine as well.

I was quite shocked with the amount of damage the 7 tonner did. Imagine if it was a fully laden 44 ton hgv. I think there may have been fatalities in the other cars.

But they way it looked was that the audi and truck were driving at the 206 from either end at the same speed. The 206 gave way a bit too easily for my liking!

I personally thought quite the opposit.
I thought that policeman was excellent - I warmed to him immediately.
Why?
Because like me he hates people who think they are better than everyone else.
People who use the Hard Shoulder because they don't feel they should have to queue in traffic - what exactly makes you special?
Why should you feel that you are allowed to break the law?
3 points and the lecture - nice one.
When he actually pulled him over it looked like he'd spotted a bald tyre or something as well, well I was hoping.
He was also against the ***** who use their phones while driving - good for him.

The only difference between me and him is that whereas I'll go out of my way to give those people hand gesture he can actually do something about them and give them some points.
Full respect to the guy.
