Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 & 2 Collection

Yep I'm all in....only fear is that:

1: Its Activision...caution should always apply...
2: Its ripe for skins / cosmetic / unlockable character micro transactions and other paywall related shenanigans

However given how they handled the Spyro and Crash Bandicoot remaster I remain hopeful.

I really wish with games like this they'd add a "realism" mode where your skater is limited by the rules of physics a bit more like in the real world. Although puling off a six trick combo over a 90ft gap is enjoyable I feel like these games just take it a bit to an extreme. The original Coolboarders on PS1 was fairly realistic in this regard but the only way to improve on these games seemed to be to go bigger (a la THPS3/4, Coolboarders 2/3).

Tony hawk's never been about that though, if I remember right I think Skate? (If it's what it was called) went for a more realistic spin but could be wrong

Yeah Skater is quite a bit more difficult than THPS, love em both. However, I cannot wait for this remaster, I think it is one of the few games at that time I could be bothered with completing as much as I could, so much fun.

The trailer does look like they have done well with it too, looks really good and long overdue.

This is out tomorrow for anyone that forgot and the reviews are looking very positive. I hope it runs well on pc with few bugs that are quickly patched as this game deserves it - one of the all time greats I think.

Probably going to order it tonight. Any negatives seem so small that they could easily be tweaked and patched. Not sure how it runs on pc, but shouldn't take much to hit 60fps at 1440p maxed and with a controller, 60fps is more than fine.

Can't wait to play this once it gets to the Steam store :p

I wont be cutting off my nose to spite my face, but when companies want to play silly buggers with exclusive deals that do the opposite to what EPIC store ethos was meant to be all about. I will vote with my wallet and buy the cheapest greyest key I can find. Then buy it on steam once it appears on all platforms.

Well been playing for a few hours now. Its absolutely amazing, except for one aspect....I suck.
There a point on the mall where I used to be able to get a 1m+ combo, I struggled to get 50k.

My 40+ year old reflexes have clearly declined more than I though.

So I've played this today for 5hours now and I've nearly managed 100% on both games  It's surprising the amount of stuff you remember and pick up quickly from all those years ago.

It's an absolutely fantastic remaster of the game however, looks and plays beautifully, the expanded soundtrack is perfect with the originals complimented with some new content and well it's just genuinely fun to play! Had a blast so far.

I know exactly how you feel :) also forgot how numb my thumbs get from playing this lol, already theyre starting to look a bit flat where I've been mashing directions & kick/grab/grinds.

Exactly. I hardly ever touch a controller as I'm nearly exclusively an M&K gamer so an extended session with a pad feels like my thumbs have been in a blender!
