Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 & 2 Collection

I refunded as i wasn't feeling it - The above makes me glad i did. £40 for 2 hours of game play??

I've played thps 1 and 2 on my dreamcast and 3 on PS2 in the last few months. I know the location of most of the goals in thps2 and for instance can complete the Warehouse level in 1m 20-something seconds (rank 241 in the world apparently!)

Basically I am not a typical gamer picking this up!

I will say having given the actual thps2 a go last night that the new physics engine is so much better and it's just crying out for "more game" (i.e. thps3!)

While I'm sure it's possible to finish all goals on both thps1 and 2 in 2 hours, that would be doing it a big disservice.

The amount of challenges available, speedrun leaderboards and the online multiplayer mean I've already spend 5 hours on it, and I've not yet finished either of the single player "tours". (Especially on the PS4 as I don't consider a game "finished" unless I've got the platinum trophy)

I tried the speed run mode and it was fun for a bit before it became frustrating as I was trying to get the perfect line through the level. I'll give online multiplayer a go tonight though!

Fair enough @almoststew1990 - will possibly drop in for another look on sale.

quick question - I found myself using the D-pad for movement as it seemed more intuitive whilst feeling weird at the same time. Haven't used a D-pad in years. Is this how you are all controlling movement?

I've done the same, tho had to adjust to spin being on top shoulder buttons rather than bottom as I remember them, cant really use analogue as you need to use different directions quickly to vary your tricks.

The d-pad is also much better for jumping out of quarter pipes / bowls as the analogue stick it's quite hard to push directly up and if you're only slightly to the left / right of directly up you'll just get air and spin.

I used my 360 pad at first and that has an atrocious d-pad which also struggles to go straight up!

They finally patched in the ability to rerun career mode for each skater a few days ago, along with a couple of other minor things:

  • New Challenges
  • Tuning Multiplayer playlists
  • Replay Tours with individual skaters
  • Crash Bandicoot themed gear for your Create-a-Skater!

That's great news, I might reinstall it now!

Finally! Bought it on Epic a few months ago, but refunded after an hour of messing around trying to get my controller working across the Steam Link app, hopefully should have native support on the Steam version! Been looking forward to playing it with my son :)

Also bought it too. Just the tutorial brings back great memories of THPS on PSX :)

Anyone running anything other than autodetected (medium) settings?

Looking forward to playing this at some point, loved playing THPS on PS1/PS2. I was hoping over the years that it'd come to Steam and when it did, I more or less got it straight away. I've held off playing though as I want to play it on the TV in the lounge and currently, I have no way of doing that without hassle (unplugging/lugging PC downstairs).
