Tony Stewart HITS and kills Sprint Car Driver

Pretty conclusive then. No speeding up, nothing untoward (they showed video with overlays etc) and ward was on drugs.

Yet his parents are still going to go civil for money, hope they lose big style. Just because you lost your son, doesn't not mean you are brain dead.
 
So he was a smack head as well as a hot heard. US Motorsport needs to ensure it starts drug testing it's sprint car racers me thinks.
 
I missed this when it happened so just seen the original video now..

Ward Jr was an absolute idiot, not only did he walk towards the other cars, he actually steps right in front of them! Crazy fool.. I feel sorry for his family, but he was clearly not all there in the head..

Mind you, why all the other cars didn't stop as he started walking in front of them I don't know.. it all looked like an accident waiting to happen.

If any good comes of this, it might be that.

Other US motorsport sanctioning bodies have pretty strict drug testing regimes, including NASCAR. I'm not sure NASCAR's isn't a bit tighter than F1 to be honest....

What are most people outside the US who don't follow US motorsport going to see in the news? Not the normal stuff, just the bad stuff, which in this instance is a stoned driver being hit by a NASCAR driver many were ready to blame from the off due to his record.

My GF doesn't know what NASCAR is, or Sprint Car driving, or anything about any US motorsport, yet she's head this story.
