Too cool?

lol yh 11 is half general ambient room temps and thats technically impossiible. Unless an icy breeze is coming through the window to reduce the temperature inside the case.

Either
a) your house has bad insulation/windows
b)your sitting with the window open
c) you've somehow got your room down to an uncomfortable temperature
d) all the above

Very odd that each core is identical temps, I've never ever seen that before...

I'm thinking maybe the core sensors are dodgy, or you might need to update your BIOS.

Either way, these temps are far from accurate, like TB already stated, you can't have lower temps than the ambient temps of your room unless your using exotic cooling methods which you aren't..

I was going to suggest that maybe having all these temp monitoring apps could be the cause of these strange temps, as I've seen CPUZ go crazy before reporting crazy CPU frequencies because of having to many monitoring apps open.

Maybe you should try unstalling Asus Probe like gurusan suggested.

maybe his room is just uber cool?
i opened my window and shut my door earlier and after just 15 minutes the "SYS" temp dropped from 24 down to 16 :D i bet it would have gone lower if i waited longer

Lol! your PC is a source of heat not visa versa!

It was actually making me cold :D Anyway i originally didnt have pc probe installed, and was only using coretemp or realtemp, only installed extra as i thought they were too low. I have the most recent bios just updated it today. But there is definately something wrong with the sensors, as with realtemp when i adjusted the Tj Max to 90 instead of 99, my temps dropped from 12 to 3 degrees, so obviously whatever realtemp is using as a sensor is not working at all, any ideas :)?

That's what happens when you lower TJ Max, I have mine set to 100c for my i7 920, but if I dropped it down to 90, it would show my temps as being 10c lower, just like what's happened with you here.

Some CPU's can have dodgy core sensors, and tbh, I dont think that there is anything you can do about this..

I wouldn't have thought reseating the CPU would make any odds..

Cant you find out what the ambient temps are of your room mate?

Im quite happy sitting in my bedroom with the windows wide open and my i7 getting 10C as idle temps.
My 'normal' idle temps are 30C though there is a large variation depending on my room temp.

OP, just find out the ambient temps before messing with hardware.

its just the cold weather, i have seen mine as low as 16 when my room has cooled down, if i were to open windows and doors it would get just as low in this cold spell were having, shut your windows and doors and get the heating on then check, will go up then for sure

I think a CPU can go below ambient due to something called Wind Chill Factor :D

If this is not correct someone please let me know!

no ur correct it can be -5 outside but the breeze can be -10 windchill factor could theoretically make it cooler inside the case than out but it's very unlikely

someone try it stupidly underclock your cpu and see what the lowest u can get is..lowest i can get is 26 degs when ambiant is 17

faulty sensor

Sounds like you have a faulty sensor. id suggest you by a digital thermometer. You can get these cheap from a fair few cooking stores. Whilst the comp is running check the temps using the probe and the onboard sensors. The probe is accurate to about 2C so any major variation would show a faulty sensor.

Also you could try uninstalling your software and reinstalling the latest version. This has fixed the issue for me sometimes. Failing this it is entirely possible to get the computer colder than the room. This is because the fans can move a lot of air causing it to feel colder. This is often the case in smaller rooms. Its nothing to be worried about but if you feel to cold with the computer on turn up the heating or switch to liquid cooling. Liquid cooling can only cool up to ambient temperature and if you get a radiator without fans you won't have to worry about the "wind chill" factor.

hope this helps :D
