First time in about 20 years.

My lord it was a horrible experience...Don't know how people cope with doing such a horrible thing every day of their lives.

It was a nightmare from start to finish.

What exactly was so awful that you struggled to cope with?

The noise...The slowness of it....Stopping at every stop...The Kids swearing...The smell...The seats...The lack of control in my own destiny.

Worrying about some smelly person sitting next to me as I slowly watched the bus getting fuller and fuller.

I didnt have my headphones with me and couldnt get 3G on my S2 it was a living hell:eek:

then dont take your family with you .... BOOM BOOM!

The only bus I ever use, is the 26 in Reading. The driver is always friendly, it is cheap, the seats are comfy and it is air conditioned. Oh, and it also has free wi-fi. Pretty damn awesome considering it costs peanuts to use.

If you're having first world problems I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but a bus ain't one.

The buses aren't too bad in Norwich. Generally speaking the bus drivers are ok, and the people aren't tooo inbred (Shayper I'm looking at you).

Buses are tragically bad in this country. However its the ****holes using them more than the actual bus themselves.

In a fair few Eastern European countries, the buses and trams look shambolic, but are a better experience than being on public transport here, as you dont have youths swearing, shouting, and threatening people.

I was on a London bus once, late at night, and these black yobs at the back upstairs got up to all sorts, making everyone miserable. Driver stops and comes up, just gets abused. He refused to move until they got off so we were sat there for ages. Police came, and they opened the back emergency exit and all jumped out from the top and ran off.

Was well angry.

+1.

This is why I don't use public transport, too many cretins.

When I used to live near Birmingham this is pretty much my experience of a late night bus journey home - very annoying after doing a 14 hour work day - when you just want to get home.
