Tool for testing stability of graphics card?

Using ati tool, how long do or can i leave it?

Im not overclocking, im purely testsing for artifacts as I had them very bad during a game then I cleaned the computer and ive not had them since. Could dust cause them?

However long you want and until you are happy your clocks are stable, or until yellow dots appear on the fur cube, that way you know the card is artifacting

With furmark i think if the card passes 3000seconds on the stability test its safe to assume its stable with whatever you throw at it

Is it vantage that I want?

ATI TOOL ran for 25mins, ive run out of time for more testing as I have work now but ill download at work and try tomorrow

vantage? as in 3d Mark vantage... the graphics benching app, tis good for a overall score i guess

for me id say 25mins in ati is ok, juts play games and see if you get crashes if not your fine and can overclock more

then does it matter? its like if that tree falls...does it affect you?

there's always a warranty if it gets worse

But the fact that artifacting is a sign that it's unstable, and could be causing damage.

Waiting for your game to crash just seems like a haphazard way of stability testing.

The reason im doing it is that i got this through the game

I did have a few minor locks when playing before but just thought it was a heat issue as I have the computer on for days at a time.

But since ive cleaned it up i havent had any problems. I dont really want to send the card back if its just a dust issue. It hasnt crashed for since i cleaned it so I was just trying to see if it was that which caused the issue.
