Top Gear Is Back!!

There is too much larking about in this series and not enough proper content. It pains me to say this ... but ... I think I'm actually starting to prefer Fifth Gear. Especially when watched on a PVR so you can skip the ad breaks and fast forward the competition reminders.

Interestingly I'm finding myself thinking the complete opposite - I've watched the last few episodes of TG, thought they were absolutely awesome, sat down to watch Fifth Gear the next night and found it shockingly dull in comparison - I almost turned it off 3/4 hour into last weeks becuase it was just boring :(

How many times in JC going to review a Mercedes and mention the voice recognition system ?!?!

In his 3 previous Merc reviews (Outgoing S Class, SL and CL65) he has completely rubbished the system, now all of a sudden it's the best thing since sliced bread

Jeremy's S-Class "cottage" was absolutely hilarious, completely ignoring the "expert", and I was nearly falling off the sofa with laughter at Hampster/Captain Slow driving round in it!

I was struggling to find the time to breathe it was that funny :D

Don't get me wrong - it's a damn good TV show and I'd rather my license fee went towards this than Eastenders. Even when Clarkson wastes it on buying a perfectly decent S-class to stone clad the interior.

The pink Micra - side splittingly funny. I've not laughed so hard in months.
Winter Olympics special - genius.
The £100 banger London to Manchester trip, £1500 coupes etc - brilliant.

I'm just thinking stone cladding the interior of a Merc S-class is just taking it a wee bit too far. Bring back the donutting grannies etc instead.

I love TG, but I'm starting to find the "races" a wee bit tedious. It's always so close and is obviously set up and it's just starting to grate on me a little :/

Top Gear "setting up" their races?!?! *******s I don't believe it!

Oh wait.. yes I do... :p

They're trying too hard to be funny imo :/

as much as i love topgear jeremy clarkson gets on my nerves... is it just me or does he slate BMW for everything?

and yesterday with the S Class he seems to think , voice recocnition , automatic headlights where all first on the S class well they wernt .... theyve been on plenty of cars before that!

and the Command system on the Mercedes looked rather a lot like BMW's iDrive which he says is too complicated and rubbish ..... to me it looks like the Mercs is too complicated and rubbish!

and it seems to me that the race Between the Z4M and the Porche boxter was a little too close! a car with 348bhp compared to that porche ... it looked rather close and im sure there was some sort of foolery behind that!

*S just my 50 cents

I completely forgot it was on, is it repeated during the week like it was last series ??

I think it's repeated tonight at 7pm.

edit... Just checked, and it doesn't appear to be shown tonight. Perhaps because it's a bank holiday :(
