Top Gear returns on Sunday 27th June at 8pm

Absolutely fantastic episode. I neither follow nor know ANYTHING about F1 and I thought the Senna segment was very good. Superb episode.

Did they actually test any cars you can buy? The Bugatti I guess?

I really enjoyed the show though, all the bits were good but where were the cars? I really enjoyed the old Senna/F1 stuff as it reminded me of what it was like rather than the race today!

Absolutely fantastic episode!

268mph in a Veyron, Cameron Diaz's excuse for breaking her nose four times "**** finds my face" cracked me up, and a great tribute to Senna.

I was a massive F1 fan in those days and was utterly devasted that weekend (not forgetting Roland Ratzenberger), and I felt myself welling up watching those old clips

That episode deserves it's own thread tbh. I'm left feeling many emotions watching that episode. The opening snow race packed with adrenaline and awesome stunts, the top speed run by James, Tom and Cameron were ace and genuinely funny and great guests and the Senna part was a true tribute especially with Hamilton driving the "last of the true monsters".
BBC HD in surround sound = Sunday night goodness.
Now it's time for some gaming followed by MotoGP live and direct from Laguna Seca at 10 :)
Night all.

EDIT: I'd also rate that highly in the best ever Top Gear episodes. It would easily be top 5.

Bored? WTF? I'd have no issue at all had this TG been entirely about Senna. Legend who truly deserves that title, gone long before his time.

In fact, the only problem I had with that segment was Lewis Hamilton's high-pitched squealing!
Completely agree. There'll never be another F1 driver who would be so iconic to his home country that he'd get a state funeral like the one Brazil gave Senna.

Interesting that Schumacher said he'd put Senna first. This was a very, very good episode. Probably one of the best episodes they've made that wasn't some epic race or challenge that took up the entire episode.

Much respect to Clarkson and the audience for the end of the episode. 50th anniversary of Senna's birth remarkably observed.

Every week a bunch of utterly boring people find new and exciting ways to claim the whole show is fixed/a setup/scripted/blah.

Most people DONT CARE.

Well I don't...

tbh I thought they both got the same time so I was definitely suspect, but then realised he was faster... fair play, he flew half of it.

It's a motoring based entertainment program, it's under the 'factual' section of iPlayer.

It's never been just a car show, but everything to do with motoring.

Was a good episode the Senna part did it for me, i was lucky enough to see him race at Hockenheim in 91 and 92, Mansal won both races.

Wow, what a great episode. I can just remember watching him with my dad when i was a younger. What a fanastic racer and a legend that deserve all the respect he can get. Top Gear did it well.
