Right, got the July issue of Top Gear through the post this morning and there's a season preview. So...
***Spoilers***
1) An Abu Dhabi special with four hypercars. First Hammond drives the new Murcielago LP670-4 SV. Then he races it against an SLR 722 right through the centre of Abu Dhabi. Finally a race between Hammond in a Veyron and The Stig in a McLaren F1. Looks fun.
2) A race from London to Edinburgh. Hammond on a Vincent Black Shadow, Clarkson on a steam train, May driving a Jag XK120. Apparently '...if Clarkson doesn't win a best presenter BAFTA for his performance in this film then everyone at BAFTA smells of wee'.
3) Apparently car ads are boring. So, Hammond and May set out to create a series of TV ads for the Scirocco which they then present to a panel at an advertising agency.
4) Following the huge popularity of Ken Block's Gymkhana video, May heads out to meet him. Block then spars' with a motocross rider in his Impreza at an airport. With Top Gear's cinematic skills this film should be awesome.
5) Top Gear finds out which is the fastest airport vehicle (just think of that Cadbury's ad). Cue the usual touring car drivers.
6) Best car for 17yr olds. The boys' each buy a car and a series of challenges ensue. Apparently Clarkson's 'Get up the driveway without waking your parents' test is undoubtedly a Top Gear classic.
7) Classic car clubs. The boys' head to a classic car auction, buy a car, and are then entered in a classic car rally. Their co-drivers are chosen for them.
8) Car reviews and power laps in this series include...SL65 Black Series, new Z4, Focus RS vs. Megane R26.R, Corvette ZR1 vs. R8 V10, Lotus Evora, Jag XFR vs. BMW M5.
9) The boys' buy a RWD sports car (944, 300SX, Capri) for less than £1500 and head on a road trip through France with a series of challenges. They finish in the Alps and take part in an ice race against Andros Trophy cars.
10) Hammond and May race the Royal Mail from the Scilly Isles to the Orkneys driving a Porsche Panamera.
11) The boys' try to find the best small car for these troubled economic times. Includes the Alfa Mito, Toyota iQ, Skoda Roomster etc. They head into London to hassle bankers, MP's and get in trouble with the police.
Apparently there are seven episodes in the series, now bring on the 21st.
