Top Gear Season 14

I see Top Gear still seem to polarise the views of many here (and everywhere actually)

I have been firmly in the 'positive' 'I like' side of the fence. Nearly every episode since 'the change' has been enjoyable for me, despite the 'complaints' about the content and the quality, however:

Tonights episode for me was one of the worst, if the not the worst I can remember for the last 2 or 3 seasons. I accept most of the 'joviality/scripted/setups/etc' . I know it's produced TV, it's meant to be light entertain ment, a bit silly etc etc. But most of the episode taken up with the stupid car was massive fail. I was actually interested in how far up the hill the G-whizz might actually have gone. All the hammy acting etc, wasn't entertaining or funny, the **** on jezzas face, the 'hilarious' subtitles. It felt like a really badly scripted and acted version of the chuckle brothers.

I see other people agree.

Last weeks episode, however, I felt was one of the BEST in the last couple of seasons....

I can only assume this is the thing Clarkson was talking about last ear whereby they make a couple of eps really crap so they have the budget to do better stuff in the episodes..

Thank god for that. I thought people paid to go watch that .....?

It used to be good, and to be honest, i'm going the way of a few oter people on here... it seems to be a bit pony these days. The odd episode is very good, but when they do things like today, it just serves no purpose. I hate to say it, as I love Top Gear, but it isnt what it used to be. :(

Uh oh, you've now crossed into the dark side. Next you'll be moaning every single week about the same thing but still continue to watch it :(
 
I know... its bad isnt it. But you do realise why we watch it evry week....? Its because we know we love it really and its because we want to be suprised by the odd programme which turns out to be a corker.

Im not going to say the show is crap, when its still miles ahead of all the other ton of crap that gets shown on tv such as cori, eastenders, xfactor and the like. Roll on Top Gear and Andrew Marr shows! :D
 
I'm glad I'm not in the select few any more, I must be honest. I didn't watch it this week though as last week was disappointing for me, so I'm not here to moan every week despite what idea you have for some reason.

Just to wind you up though, I DID watch X-factor!
 
I try to stay away from this thread while the program is on the air because there is nothing more cringe worthy than reading updates like "LOL!!!!!!" and "LOL@Hammond" being posted for an hour... But needless to say I thought the electric car bit was quite funny. Yes, it's perhaps not as good as it once was, but what else are you going to watch? X-Factor? I would rather poke myself in the eye for an hour thanks.
