Top Gear: Series 19

have to say the new ceed seems to be well received by just about everyone that's had a shot of one. that and the 7 yr 100k warranty and the love of top gear means they are becoming a serious proposition

And they look good imo.

The new one is definitely an improvement over the old!

Enjoyed tonight's episode. Really really good. The rugby game was enjoyable too.

Am I the only one who heard Clarkson swear just before he slid into the side of the Sportage (I think). Just before 9 o'clock too, naughty! Made me laugh though.

Things I noticed is how much the Koreans have come on in the past decade. 10 years ago you had the Rio which was about 10 years out of date when it came out. Now the Kia's of today seem as a viable alternative to the Mondeo man.

One thing Jeremy didn't point out was when Lewis said 2009 rule changes put Mercedes on the back foot. They were the ones that dominated the rule changes but were unable to capitalize on it in the following seasons.

Great lap by lewis (although looks like he did it in the summer and most likely had quite a few attempts). You really do see how tiny he is sitting in that car.

Great episode, really enjoyed the Kia part, and the rugby was awesome! Found the hot hatch review lacking any real thorough information. I think the Chris Harris review on YouTube was much better. And I wasn't overly fussed on the Mexico car review. Oh and the Lewis lap was unreal, and insanely quick. which lead me to think was it genuine...

Top Gear makes Sunday nights better, they should be on every week!!!

It's definitely going after the people who just want something reliable and small with a few toys. Seems well equipped too.

It was more that Brawn threw all their limited funds into the championship winning years car. Until they were bought by Mercededs they had very little money. It's hard to catchup from missing out on development time or going down the wrong route. No matter who you are and how big a budget sometimes throwing money at it doesn't work. *See toyota*

Cracking episode of TG. Very funny and far less obvious scripting. Car Rugby seemed to be a lot better than I feared.

Lewis's lap and interview were good, you could see how much setting a better time meant to him.

I think it was obvious from Lewis' interview and body language they have lots planned for the rule changes again next year when they switch to Turbo V6s and lewis wants to be part of that. He knows Mercedes are too far behind now and are just trying to stay competitive this year.
