I replaced my G19 with a Logitech G710+, I tried quite a few out and settled on this. It has the (proper) media functions that I wouldn't want to lose and is of rock solid quality (some pictures of it here as the stock ones aren't great http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=24508344&postcount=2202).

The switches are brown, I don't think there is a clear cut best switch for gaming, I think you'd get used to whichever one you use.

My second choice behind that would be the Corsair K70 or K95, which are both excellent both have red switches.

The Ducky keyboards are top notch but I haven't used one personally. The lack of proper media functions would put me off but you may not use them often.

Ducky shine 3 no doubt.
Ive heard people switching their G710+ simply cause its not worth the price so think about that.
2nd option would be a Corsair K70 or K95.
Some other good ones are the coolermaster range, mionix zibal 60 and the qpad mk series.

Media functions on the Ducky shine 3 isnt a problem, just press fn down and thats basically it. The Corsairs have dedicated media functions though. Not sure about the rest.

I just bought a Corsair K70 and took some time to think about which one to go for. I've always hated using mechanical type keyboards from the old IBM PC and PS/2 days but I have to say the Corsair is a real top keyboard.

Get a Filco and some of the Ducky PBT keycaps.

Or an HHKB :D

But in all seriousness if you can afford it Filco has some of the best Mechanical keyboards. Or a CM Storm but you HAVE to get the Quick Fire Rapid. Not the TK or any of the others. ONLY the QFR uses Costar (same OEM as Filco).

Ozone Strike Black switches. Excellent for FPS gaming, not so much for other types of games. Oh and not as good for typing, but for mainly FPS I wouldn't wanna just another switch. No messing around with blacks, just whack it all the way down :D

or year of the snake :O
but would like reds i think, (better for gaming?) not to sure if black would stop my disabled (weak) hand from pressing the key all the way down.
Reds all day for FPS.

These opinions are appreciated, as I could do with a replacement keyboard.

Need to get a proper mechanical this time, as I mostly use it for gaming, and it would help.
Still undecided on ducky shine 2 or k70.
But it looks like both are very good, so just a matter of choice now.
