Anyone interested in this game?

Just noticed it's out in less than 3 weeks and I really enjoyed the 2nd one. Online was a nightmare if you hadn't mastered the special and risk shots, but they have removed them from 3rd one to make it more usuer friendly..

I've pre-ordered it for £27 using 11% quidco. For that price it's gotta be worth a punt and if the reviews suck I will cancel it.
 
I'm looking forward to TS3 but haven't read/seen much on it, 2nd one was good fun and i prefered it over VT3 which was ruined by the cheating A.I( last match and my character had full power stats yet A.I could still hit it twice as hard:rolleyes:)

EDIT: Just watched a video and it's looking excellent, graphics are nice and gameplay seems very fluid!

Yeah I think it looks good too, I hammered the last one out in a week. I'm not a big fan of Virtua tennis after the first one on the arcade.

Only other rival may be smash court tennis 3 released at the end of june, but I've never played any of those before.
 
I think it's worth a punt if I can get a staff discount on it and trade in something of value. I really enjoyed the second one.

Top Spin 2 was fun but the career got repetitive. That wasn't its main fault though, the game was flawed because of the risk shots. I haven't read the preview but I hope they are out of the game.

If it's anything like the first one I'll definitely get it but I feel like I'll get bored of it after a month being so near to MGS4. I have table tennis so it depends on the reviews whether I get it, it can be had for £30 online though :)
 
While Top Spin 2 is the best tennis game imo, its still not that good. Very repetitive and most rallies simply boil down to hitting it from left to right until someone misses it. Oh and the double play sucked. Its a genre that really needs revamping, Im hoping EA can do to it what they've done with FIFA, Skate, FN3, not heard much about the new right stick system but im hoping it'll be good.

Kinda like saying Guitar Hero is repetitive because you just keep going til you miss too many notes ;)

I'm glad they have taken the risk shots out though, they ruined the flow of the game a bit.

Well yes, but it just feels like they've missed a lot of what makes tennis great (I play a fair amount of Tennis) Id like to see shots better balanced (drop shots and lob shots always seem much harder and not as useful. When in reality playing a good drop shot isn't that much harder than playing a cross court top spin shot.
 
T2 was superb imo, amongst the best tennis titles I've played. I may get T3 if I have the time to play it.
