Torchlight II

I find it hard to believe that people are actually comparing this to diablo 3. Torchlight 2 is a budget game and it shows while diablo 3 is on another league.

I'd disagree, it shows the opposite in my opinion why Diablo 3 cost so much when torchlight does some things better and costs a third of the price D3 did at launch.

Torchlight II

-Team of less than 40 people
-Budget of less than $10,000,000
-Development time of 24 months
-R.R.P of £15 on release
-Could not coop for the first 12 hours, hastily fixed.

Diablo III

-Team of 1,000 +
-Budget of over $100,000,000
-Development time of 72 months
-R.R.P of £50 on release
-Unplayable for over 300 hours, aka Error 37.

I'm not a total hater of Diablo, I love the lore and care about where it is going, but the facts argue for themselves. Only a fanboy can actually say Diablo III is in another league, I considered waiting for Torchlight II but spent my money on Diablo anyway, a choice I regret to this day.

The only thing that's bothering me is it looks fine at 1080p but at 2560x1440 it seems a tad blurry, like the text isn't sharp or anything. It's not my graphics settings either :(

Just been looking at the runic forums.
If you want to change difficulty or reset the map, then when you open up your save click on LAN and it will let you change stuff, but still be single-player (essentially) :)

Whilst I struggled to actually complete Diablo on normal difficultly (as in be arsed to log in and do it.), this statement is completely wrong.

If you like waiting 6 years and shelling out half a yard for something that's done just as well, if not better in 2 years for less than the price of a few beers at your local then you do you.

Is anyone up for coop?

On the hardest difficulty atleast the game feels far more rewarding then Diablo3's method of randomness... also I love that I don't need to equip 3 passive defensive buffs as abilities to kill stuff. Combat feels far more varied with me using all my abilities.

In Diablo 3 inferno back when I played it on release I had to use mage armour and a couple of other abilities that never added to how much fun I was having just I had to use them to make the content possible... was pretty ridiculous to say the least.

Mate you heard of the word opinion? It is this thing were people have different views on what they prefer and weirdly it doesn't make them a brainless fanboy defending for the sake of defending.

Animations/physics are one thing I noticed were much better in D3, I played 5 minutes of TL2 demo, I will still be getting it and wouldn't be hard for me to enjoy it more than I did D3 but again your statement is actually fanboy level.

Wouldn't my statement be considered an opinion? Compared to their budgets and development time Diablo 3 falls way short, then we get the topic hijacked and turned into a TL vs D. Pointless. Physics, story and cutscenes were better in D3, TL2 animations rape D3 hard as you'll find out after spending more than 5 minutes in the game. Saying D3 is in another league is ridiculous. Bigger budget doesn't = better.
