im currently stuck in a rut, should i get the 360 or hold off and wait until ps3, ive read these forums regarding availiable titles and for that the 360 is a clear win but i love my formula 1 games and the ps3 will have one at release (Folmula 1 Championship). anybody no if this will be out for 360 and any advice would be great. Oh1 more request no fanboi-ism. Cheers!

lol yea i no, i have played the 360 and was well impressed with gow and this new game lost planet looks incredable, but then theres my f1 and Gran Turismo,i really am confused, dont want to buy both, just a waste of money IMO.

If any of you have played a PS3, opinions please?

ya see thats why i want a ps3!! game looks sweet but if the gameplay and physics suk then i quess theres no point. i no its all down to the players perspective so aghhh!!! im heading to the states in a few weeks here so hopefully ill get a test drive somewhere. having started a thread regarding importing ive realised thats a waste of time.

ive always loved the f1 games, from f1 97 on the psone right up to 06, i have them all, dont want to break tradition!!! i was really considing the usa 60gig but due to warrenty issues and unable to play previous versions and the inability to watch films kinda knackkered that idea

I'm in the middle of downloading Yellow Dog Linux as we speak. There is a media player which will play DiVX and I'm sure there will be an app to play my PAL DVD's too. This woudl solve all my problems and make the PS3 do everything I want it too.

With regards to F1, I used to love the Geoff Crammond games for the PC but they arent releasing any more as far as I'm aware so the only decent F1 games left are the PS ones. This version has more tweaks as far as I can see so that you can make it much more like a sim than the previous arcadey style versions. Other than that you could get yourself a cheap pcopy of Geoff Crammonds GP4 from fleabay, there are huge communities of modders who always update the car models and tracks etc to the latest season and considering it's a good few years old you wouldn't need the latest GFX card to run it. Obviousley I'm assuming you have a PC but I suppose you could be typing this on any number of gadgets nowadays.

Why dont you look at titles due to be released on both platforms, cross off any you can get for the PC, if you have a gaming rig, and then think about which ones you most want to play from each. Then go for the one with the most titles you really want.

im quessing u have the USA import version? if u could inform me of that program works then please please please let me no!!!

Indeed i do have a gaming rig, although aging, it still excels with the games i play (bf2, 2142, fear to name a few)

game looks incredable graphically!! my heads shafted, about this, do i go import and enjoy the goodness early or wait for full uk version, i mean i no good things come to those who wait and all the malarky!!! also i personaly dont no any ps3 owners to test the console so as i said earlier, it looks like i got 2 wait :(

driving and fps are my favourite games lol, there is no clear cut console for me!! grr

im thinking this is gonna be a case ofbite the bullet and get both, but thats gonna hurt the lil bank balance huge style!

i could use the PS3 for racing and the 360 for fps

Graphics dont make a game, and F1 YAWN so boring.

F1 is one of the best sports out there, nothign but adrenaline and when u got a group of mates all supporting different teams and having a beer ya cant beat the laughs. also unlike most other sports theres virtually no secteranism, cheating and most of all no major buttheads who bring the sport into disripute, that including micheal schumacher even though im a Renault supporter.

option 2 sounds like a plan man. just needs a bit of pondering, but option defo sounds excellent, never thought of it like that!!

to be totally honest im glad i started this thread because the info i have gotten from u guys has been first class and open my mind a lot more, so thank you guys, for everything. but please keep the info rolling!!

i no that game titles will only get stronger for both consoles so realistically its 6 for one, half a dozen the other!

I have to agree that this gen of consoles (inc the Wii) you really do need all three to not feel disapointed. Each one seems to offer something special and can't be ignored.

too right, its annoying as heck!!!

i was a big gamer up until about 6 months ago when the novelity wore off......but having experienced the 360 and the previews of ps3 theres a lot of games i really want to play and probably get the gamer side of me out again!

i dont mind the price of games, even the 360's games are priced 40 - 50 quid. i mean ive had a ps2 of years (yes the big fat one) and i only ever bought games that really grabed me, i dont buy games that ive never heard off.

For me the 360 has a better line up over the next 18 months as well.

and the same will apply for ps3, give it a year and the games will be awesome

my mind is not made up, i have been researching and been reading up. tbh i am just thinking 360 because as i said above it will take a yr for ps3 and in a year it will be cheaper.....

well im heading into the city centre tomorrow and have a good nosey about.... will really look at all the games availiable for the 360 and see if i can get release games for ps3
