Right Fine.

Flight Sims - I've got to assume you'll play these on your pc, if not then Ace Combat on the PS, though its not announced for either will likely go multi format after Namcos recent grumblings.

Formula 1 - Well the only announced game is on the PS3 and from whats been said plays poorly but looks good.

Just formula one or racing in general? If racing, dont take my word for it i was a hardcore GT fan until Forza Motorsport came along, go read reviews and see others opinions and hell go play number 1.

Shoot Em Ups/ Action? - Xbox Exculsive- Id's new IP Exclusive, Halo 3, Gears, Lost Planet, Bioshock, CrackDown, Too Human, Ninja Gaiden, Mass Effect(action rpg), Kane and Lynch.

PS - Exclusive - Heavenly Sword, Devil May Cry, God of War, Resistance, Kill Zone.

Strategy - Xbox - C&C 3, Halo Wars.

There will be just as many sports titles out on both platforms and racing is down to preference as he has already stated he is a huge F1 fan and as far as I'm aware there isn't an F1 title out for the 360!

Ok well take a real look at the other titles mentioned for example in the vein of Devil May Cry look at Too Human, its a Silicon Knights title if you need any convincing.

I completely appreciate unless you're a fiend like me you can't help but be more easily lured to the franchises or heavily marketed games like you've mentioned but because of the new trend of crap publications and internet gaming sites ruling the roost, oh and the media blackouts the other games mentioned and more dont get hyped until a lot closer to the time.
 
well im heading into the city centre tomorrow and have a good nosey about.... will really look at all the games availiable for the 360 and see if i can get release games for ps3

Just get a 360 tomorrow. The PS3 isn't due for release until march so you cant expect a decent catalogue of games until maybe this time next year and the console will be cheaper by then too.
