And then people would want an idea of how much faster each card is on the last one and blah blah, there just isn't a simple way to do it, people gotta research :p
 
How aobut 2 separate lists of graphics cards in theorhetical order? An ATi and Nvidia one? Both companies are more or less happy that certain cards fit into certain brackets of performance/cost and as long as we list them separately it shouldn't be too hard.

Then all we'd have to do is put a couple of ties from one to the other, not stating which is the faster, but simply mentioning which card form one company is supposed to compete with which card from the other. The X1900GT and 7900gt for example.

We could them have a colour scheme to reference which cards are current, last generation and no longer in production.
