Hey folks

I got tired of cables in my new house for the Vive. With the Lone Echo game, my wires kept getting tangled due to changing direction a lot. So bought a Chinese TPCast (at higher cost than normal)

Anyone interested in a lil' review? I realise there are some vids already

Anyone else got one?

 
Although I have a Rift, I'd still be interested in your thoughts on it as they've said on a podcast that a Rift version is incoming in a couple of months. The more opinions, the better.

Even though Sweviver couldn't tell the difference, I'd be interested to see if you can see any difference visually (quality and latency). Also, any thoughts you may have regarding his opinion that the sound isn't quite as good.
 
Dammit. Thought you had news of the full, proper retail version date.

Would like to hear you opinion of it as it'll be my very next must-have purchase.

Understood and will do. I've played the Vive a lot recently so will be able to tell the difference.

Im considering going this route myself in the next couple of weeks having just received my deluxe audio strap. Did you get it from the " well known " auction site?
 
Yeah, like £300/50 or something.

As welcoming as I am to wireless. seeing that made me wish intel/htc were making more noise about where they're going with it.

Yeah. It's very expensive, they are supposedly going to release one for the Rift as well. I will save my money for a Gen 2 headset that will, hopefully, be wireless at launch. Not that I need a wireless system right now anyway. The cable management system for £20 is giving me complete freedom of movement in my play area.
 
Heh, I saw that you did that. Unfortunately my room already resembles an adventure playground, one more thing wouldn't fly:) Like yourself though, I believe next gen for sure, but I think if intel can stump up a credible product, they'll bundle it.

With intel all in on funding Echo arena, I think there's a willing to succeed.
 
Chap in Chinaland sending me a new one. I refused the refund as I need wireless. I play Sairento and my wire keeps getting tangled as I flip and jump around

Cool, glad that it'll be fixed. I now have to wait for my UK pre-order to go through, the wait will kill me.
