How did they get cash poor when they were literally printing money a year ago lol Did they just Hodl and not think to sell on the high ?
I know a few of you followed Cineworld before. They had some pretty big news this morning. Basically secured a 150m loan enabling a 1 bill debt repayment( Basically they did have a debt of 4.84 billion dollars but filled for bankrupcy with only 4 million in the bank and now the judge has settled that they only owe 1 billion and can get a loan of 150 million)
Share price has rocketed this morning.
I have taken a small position this morning.
Kind of a punt.
If it ever got back to 100p I'd be very please. (I don't expect it to get to 100p!)
Same I got 7% of my PF in at 2.9p upon the reuters release of the news. I think I got lucky tbh. However on this news and a RNS i could see it easily reaching 10p by 14:30
I have 5 percent of my S&S ISA in it.
Not as low as that! 4.5p for me
Thought I'd missed the boat. And it would be one of these sharp jump followed by a slow tick down.
Its my best performer this year. Kind of depressing that
Still a nice position to be in, regardless of debt and filing for bankrupty, they are still in a good position. Deal on the table with netflix can only be good, on the other hand internationally things are looking bad for Cineplex.
Just imagine a return to pre covid levels haha!
Yeah I'm also not sure on whether cinema has a future. I'll certainly be wanting to cash out my initial outlay. And let the rest ride.
Likely will set a few auto sells upwards.
Can guarantee there will be a big move on tomorrow's open. But which way seems gambling territory.I've just set some limits, ones abit hopeful on opening for the US, but I may sell off half of inital outlay at the close today. Let the rest go.
Can you explain your thinking the moment you purchased shares of cineworld, they have a very low margin and a very low return on capital, with basically no room to grow.
Why not just buy more next year when it goes even lower because nobody can afford to spend £50+ as a family to watch a movie ?hold the rest long term as it's a low investment
What is going on?
Impending recession yet almost all stocks I'm watching/own have shot up today.
Two I own up 8-9pc today.
Rio and synthomer
There are a considerable number of stocks above 5pc today.
Probably a little oversold recently. The market has been in bear mode for 12 months now so won’t be far from the bottom but I would be nervous about the winter impact. What is going on?
