Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Ezj obviously could tank again. But personally, holiday is the last luxury I'd give up. So I'm going with same mindset for others. Retail will take the hit before holidays.

Wasn't expecting this much pick up so soon. Rather a slower, steadier rise, which I'd prefer
I'm in with EZJ too. I'm still massively down on my original investment (50% ish), but pleased to see a bit of recovery whatever. I'll hold for as long as it takes to recover.

Its hard to find the next Netflix. I do find it difficult to

A) and even know about new companies
B) decide if they are worth it.

For all the Netflix's there are many block busters. And although thy 29pc on netflix looks great in sure if you invested in 10 Netflix only 1 or 2 might become moonshot.

At least with bombed out companies it's easier to see if the underlying company is solid.

I just have no idea to to identify the next Netflix. Too much noise. And I guess that's same for everyone. Otherwise it would be easy.

I seen to do better this way. Like buying easy jet during the pandemic. And hopefully persimmon before Christmas.

I don't say to find the next Netflix that is just example of a company which had a very high valuation in regards to P/E.

What i am doing now is just looking for profitable growing companies with a high return on capital.

So when i decide to buy my thinking in terms of holding duration is forever, unless later i change my mind.

When you purchased easyjet, how long do you believe you will hold for

Judging by yesterday's results, my AMD holdings should finally return to the green after a long hiatus.

A few % up on Rivian and my whole portfolio will be green for the first time in a long while.

Obviously this is the precursor to a major market collapse :D

Up on quite a lot to varying degrees.

Think the optimism in the UK at least is premature. But I'll take it.
Asos did very well. Unfortunately I wasn't in until the 700s

Tech jolted into life yesterday as well. The Meta earnings with share buy back was really good as well as the general market moving upwards.

The markets are unseasonably buoyant. I have read a lot about that suggests we could face a total depression due to the amount printed vs. the tightening that is starting to happen.

For me, it's a bit like pffft I can't predict these things but I can try and maximise my income streams so that I'm in the best position to counter anything that could potentially happen.
