Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Thanks for your insights chaps, you've mentioned some factors I didn't consider. I think it's got a bit to drop still but I'm body swerving it for the moment.

I'd like to get in to this area but perhaps it's too late?

I've been targeting other companies in the design and manufacturing side such as MRVL, MPWR, NXPI and ASML.

Who knows.
Its impossible to know how much is literal fomo/wsb/influencers.

I remember thinking about tesla... It's too late. It's too late. And I lost out. Same with plantir.

But this feels more precarious. Personally I'd never advise at these levels. It could easily crash by 50-70pc tomorrow. Or it could rise.

But equally it could be the next big thing.

If I had nothing in yet? I do not know what ifd do at this point. There was a chunky correction last week and I thought the hype was over.
But today? Blown back higher.

Here's an article on seeing machines.

In case anyone is interested in these techy (potential) up and comings.

Seeing (no pun intended) that this company is one that enables a vehicle's systems to look in to your eyes and enables the nanny state of driving we are sadly headed for, I'd be at odds putting money in it.

But sod that stupid attitude - safety is paramount for driving, every car is going to have a system like this fitted because of regulations and it is certainly one to keep an eye on, good find.

From all I can find it's under valued. Probably as its a UK listed share!
Have taken a position in it. For better or worse.

still holding AVGO. I feel like I should sell because I have almost a 6 figure profit but at the same time I feel they are only just getting started.

I know I will kick my self to death if I loose this much profit but greed is taking over my brain.

Being quite new to investing I'm finding the hardest thing is deciding what to do when I'm up in a position. I have a couple that are 50%+ up and I'd be more than happy taking the return. But then I consider there's nothing better to throw the cash into and the grass isn't always greener, and perhaps I should be increasing my stake instead

you need an exit strategy at the time of buying the investment, either I will sell once the shares hit a certain price based on your research on how much you thing the shares are worth. or I will sell once it's a certain date; if it's long term holdings for retirement.

Then stick to it no matter what...

There's nothing stopping you from leaving some money on the shares, that's just like selling it all then rebuying some to lock in profits.

pretty much all my stocks are red today

Someone's doing kerbal experiments in real life, or it's cheaper to make drugs in space
Rocket Lab USA ($RKLB) said Tuesday it delivered a second spacecraft to Vandenberg Space Force Base and completed production of a third for Varda Space Industries under a four-spacecraft contract supporting in-orbit pharmaceutical manufacturing and reentry operations. The company said the Pioneer spacecraft, built by Rocket Lab, supports Varda's capsule, which uses microgravity to conduct space-based operations.Rocket Lab said it provides power, communication, propulsion, and control systems, as well as operational support. The first Pioneer spacecraft, launched in 2023, supported the production of an HIV/AIDS drug in orbit, with the capsule successfully landing in Utah earlier this year, the company said. A second mission is planned for early 2025, with a capsule landing set for South Australia, it added.
Damn all the cool sounding stocks like Varda Space Industries are private :(

Wonder how much the worlds first "space weed" would sell for. surprised no ones tried it yet

Apart from your quantum buy?

Vanguard direct fees coming into effect for those under £32k from Jan. Don't see any reason to stick with them and have decided to sell my 10k holdings in below and look at buying in my S&S ISA in T212 which has not been filled. Any other providers to consider or will they allow soon follow Vanguard and upped fees ?

1. FTSE Developed World ex-U.K. Equity Index Fund (VDWXEIA)

2. S&P 500 UCITS ETF - Accumulating (VUAG)

yea I only left in the profits from the one day I held it :O
I didn't have the time/will power to research if they were worth holding, but rigetti seemed the best of the bunch, so I let the profits of that day ride
up another 10% since posting this...

Thanks for the tip.

way too much hype in these though imo, hows that managed to ride almost 700% in a month, seems like it's mostly based on google doing as quantum chip too? so not even related to this company and just hype money

QBTS and RGTI are the ones for me with promise. But they are all hyping and mooning like a crypto **** coin.
Doing well on all of them though.
Still waiting for the correction which I'm sure must happen at some point.

Just in case people think these percentages are huge numbers. They are not. We are talking 4 figures not more.
