Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

That's all set up now for me to transfer my current ISA ,.I have maxed out for a few years so should be 50 quid a week interest plus vanguard interest.,. Still looking for a fun account (well its set up. just need to do a transfer ) with a few k to play with on my tea breaks at work edit seems cash in the trading account not invested gets the 4.9 rate so my non isa stash can go in there, the min wage is going up so i should save more next yr
At least put it in the vanguard MMF rather than just sitting cash. The current rate on the MMF is almost double their cash interest rate.

You post a lot but don't actually say anything just spouting how everyone has got it wrong without actually mentioning your own trades , oh sorry you tipped Intel at 60 as the share with the biggest upside before it lost 75 percent (now would be a reasonable buy) you also said if you were prime minister you would abolish borrowing overnight and welfare ,schoolboy answer and that you throw in 100 a month to a default nest pension lol
You say you don't go out after your warehouse night shift just sit on the computer, don't drive have no kids and it seems no interests beyond criticism, we can all delve up old posts
i have lots of faults and lose it now and again but don't constantly tell other people they are wrong.
my advice would be to step out of your rented flat now and again and see what the real world is like

I say that because you are 60 mostly, your low risk tolerance and age basically its not worth it at all.

I provide constructive criticism, your reading too much emotionally into it.

Not sure what i said for intel that far back but i definitely said Nvidia was overpriced and since then its up like 30x lol

Anyway with intel hopefully they come out with good chips via new ASML machines which they bought the entire batch i think, currently core ultra is on TSMC process. Definitely bought intel way too early, not sure if my idea is wrong yet, but the timing is terrible.

I'm down around 8.5k on intel its my only negative position.

Not sure what i would do as prime minister has to do with stocks but if you'd like more extreme examples i can provide, those are extremely minor compared to some other stuff i do.

Dont see the point about the nest pension, this is the minimum i've explained that in the other thread i believe.

I have one day off, i could go out, but this would be my normal working hours, so i'd be walking around london at night, interacting with crackheads and drunk people, lol of course im staying in lol.

Intel and amd.
I have no view on myself.
No idea or even indication for me as to if they are under or over valued.

I still think I'd bet on nvidia even with its current valuation.

There are a few in here that seem to buck the trend... Winner after winner after winner..... :p:p:p
My big losers are all UK based.
Really hoped persimmon/house builders were going to be a long term winner. But UK economy is in the toilet and interest rates are still high.
Even my best UK shares are mediocre vs my USA shares.
And my decent UK shares don't even operate in the UK. Just listed here

My take home. Do not put money into mining minnows.
Never believe the constant "the UK is undervalued" chatter.
It is undervalued. But in this world of hype on hype. You are better off following the hype... For now

My worst is Patagonia gold , never going to sell at it's present price think I am 80 percent down bought ages ago

Mine is petrofac.
Kind of believed after the original accounting scandal years ago (which didn't get me) it would clean up its act.
But it's just worse and worse. Corruption after corruption.
That and Premier African minerals. Seemed like it had promise. But again. Just outright lies really. But it's an AIM minnow. And it seems like anything goes down there. Total lies in RNSs but no one can prove it. But CEOs etc just tap shareholders for cash with "profit is just around the corner"

I'll never touch aim again. Sure you might find the next Greggs or something. But far far more likely to just lose on what is basically a gamble. Doesn't have meme potential of USA either

Anyone picking individual stocks is going to pick a dud or two. I wouldn't believe anyone who said otherwise.
in the last year it's kinda hard to have duds though.

INTC is my only dud , AMD is another dud to anyone bought it in the last year.

125.37 USD-20.81 (-14.24%)past year

You can make more money chasing trends than actual value/ real growth.

Microsoft's on about spending 80billion on datacentres, all it takes is for a few influencer types to claim everyone should go all in on concrete
thats how the market is right now

Just skimmed some profit to buy a toy, the withdrawal from T212 was instant, straight into my account.....didn't realise they changed it?
They used to try to match a deposit you made and then reverse it to avoid some fees.

mine have been clearing instantly for ages though, it might just be the banks seeing the withdrawals from trading212 as trust worthy and releasing the funds before they fully clear

I remember looking at argo. But decided to go with coinbase as my "crypto proxy in an isa"

That is some extreme Volatility!

Yeah memes are crazy.

It has genuinely been hard to lose on the USA in 2024.
I had 2 that fell. That's it. And they didn't fall by much. I guess the issue is it can make you think you are good. But it's just shooting fish in a barrel

My USA duds are
Micron and Arm. Both down 20pc.

SMCI.. This could be a dud.. Or it may pop.
Still waiting to see! Currently sitting a little red.

My biggest loser

N Brown

48% down and held for YEARS with adding shares to get it to that level. Would have been much much worse if hadn’t DCA.

My first Brown buy was in 2018 at 190p. It’s getting bought private @ 40p. This is after dilution share offering at 57p and the lowest price it went down too around 17p.

If your time frame is one year, sure. Then again anyone with only 1 years experience is going to have a very skewed idea of the stock market.
yea and I feel for them if things return to normal.

I started around jun 2023 it seems, I remember most stocks not moving unless there were an earnings call.
now people are expecting stocks to go up by whole percent's per day every day.

I hope they have a big enough unrealised gain to eat any crash.

How INTC asd AMD move was basically the whole market not long ago? apart from the odd meme chasers, now the whole marker is like a meme.

it's surely gotta be a bubble.

Its nigh on impossible to take a new position at the moment apart from brand new memes.

Haven't seen anything recently I've thought it undervalued
