Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

My Moderna shares are up 10% today. I bought a few weeks ago at $42.75 as felt they were massively oversold following COVID/RFK, and although they are burning through cash they have a strong pipeline plus well established links with governments around the world. They're a long term hold for me but nice to see them trending upwards. I see Novo Nordisk the same way - markets massively overreacted following their recent trial results for their new obesity drug.

Quite a lot of red in SPX today. VIX up and BTC also back under $100k. Not sure what might have triggered it but hoping it leads to a buying opportunity in the future!

Edit: Seems like revised US vacancies data was worse than expected (November). Too many vacancies which might mean that there is less prospect of rate cuts?

yeah interest rate jitters again i read after jobs data also nvidia taking a big hit (after CEO spoke, see news) but rising after hours , the real reason though is me opening my t212 account :p sorry people
i need some uk stuff in my fun account as its only my last tea break where i can live trade ,one of those sessions where its nice to hold cash in my Vanguard (yep it's well known I cashed out too early and lost out on many k ) my t212 is down about 35 quid under my start point but 2 of mine have strong bitcoin links , the guy at work doing really well seems to jump on trending hyped volatile stock of a few dollars each and then bails ,its starting to feel like the dot com bubble where everyone and their dog is trading (gambling )on the hype

I thought it's possible to set limit orders for extended hours purchasing?
it is you set a limit buy, it won't buy for above the price you set.

I never do it and never gone stung, but on small market cap stocks you maybe would get stung as they are more volatile.
on big stocks they pretty much always go through instantly and for the price the stock shows.

I've been dumping nearly all my PLTR the last few days, wasn't hit 75 it was kinda obvious it was going to keep going down

Quantum stock party is over.
Looks like some are taking heavy losses.
We are talking. 30pc falls in a day across the board.
A lot of red all over the place.

Does seem like tide is turning. I mean with Trump talking about taking Greenland and Canada + all the other world problems.. I'm surprised this bull run lasted this long.

I don't think anyone listens to a word that Trump says, and Quantum was always going to crash like a pancake following ridiculous gains, I think the Nvidia CEO guy has done everyone a favour by nocking the hype down a peg or two

I dunno. Trump can't be ignored. Putting up trade barriers. Being the president of the USA. Can't really ignore him anymore.
