Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Aye. Feel sorry for folk in retirement (the US folks 401k will be getting creamed) but this year might be a corker for getting involved in the markets for the long haul.
I mean unless they started investing 1 month ago they will be sitting on huge gains. I guess the risk is we see everyone trying to sell and crystalise gains at the same time through fear of a proper crash.

401k is their version of our SIPP, it should be for the long haul.. doesn't help if they are retiring soon or alreday retired.
is their ROTHs that will be getting creamed..

Wait a few weeks yet tbh.

Also the FX against the dollar is going to be as painful as the stocks themselves.
if the dollar is weak, then our pounds will buy more of them.... :)

The FTSE 100 and 250 ain't doing that bad considering...

thats the spirit

How trump worked out his tarrifs..

saw a readit comment on it, that its worked out same way chatgpt would do it. import export values minus the differance thats the tarriff
"Hes using trade deficit numbers and calling them tariffs, its a direct lie to the American people. Cambodia has 97% tariff? No. Cambodia exports 12 billion. USA exports to cambodia 350 million. 350 million / 12 billion is 3%. 100 - 3 = 97%. Do this for every "tariff".."

Probably had Musk for his "AI" to do it lol.

A good lesson in why AI shouldn't be relied on to make decisions. If they did that, it shouldn't be to hard for other nations to game it.

I'm heavily invested in Nvidia, but I can't keep buying every dip if we're stuck in a never-ending downtrend. I've already taken a significant hit—well, technically, it's not a loss until I sell, but it's going to be a while before the market bounces back.
