Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Haha, the Trading212 referral scheme is pretty bogus. They say "Do you want to get a free stock share worth up to £100?" and then give you an Under Armour share worth $9.89 lol.

Only bogus thing is I never got one. I signed up with a referral link and have deposited cash in the ISA, Invet account and CFD account.

Zoom Pre-market @ $176.

I sold at a loss after fees as I didn't think it would go much beyond 150.

Who said they were shorting? When does it expire? (If I have understood shorting correctly :) )

Sold mine for a minuscule profit a couple of days ago when they rose again. I felt I'd already missed the boom when I bought last month, but was hanging on.

Also sold PSTI (I recommended a couple of weeks ago) which I got for $7, and sold at $10.20. A bit gutted as today they are at $12.80, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

There's no expiry as I'm shorting by borrowing the stock and have to cover back at a later date. Although there is short interest to pay to borrow the stock but it's a negligible amount

It's not exactly looking too great right now as I went short @ $152 and added @ $160 .. so if I wanted to close the short right now I'd have to buy the stock @ $178.

But due to IV being high I'm able to collect a decent premium writing options against the short too (writing calls to add, writing puts to close)

Hi all,

Made a brief introductory guide to using Finki API to pull dividend payout dates and ex-dividend dates into google sheets.

Also how to pull dividend payout amount and forward p/e into the spreadsheet.

Hope it helps someone. I'm sure you lot will be fine but others struggle. Many probably have never heard of it so I thought I would spread the word. I'm using Trading 212

Does this work for us and uk stocks? If so I'll take another look at it, but last time I thought it only covered uk which leaves big gaps for my portfolio

I have not had any issues thus far. Im pulling pay date and ex-div date. Aside from ETFs it has pulled all my UK and US stocks.

I chose 5 of each US and UK and checked them out and all came back correct.

Dividend payout and forward p/e I'm using finviz.

Another week, another mystery. Adidas missed their numbers by an enormous margin, but are trending upwards. Doesn’t make sense.

Sorry to drone on, but AAZ up another 2pc, CAML 3pc. Going to top them both up I reckon.

Hi guys

any recommendations on the best broker/platform to use in the UK?

ive used 500+ and TradeZero but wondered if there’s anything better out there

thanks in advance

True story. I’m doubling down on #GDWN now. No guidance since COV-19, which either means they’ve forgotten to inform the market, or they’re not materially affected. They survived the last 100+ years, must be doing something right. Share price is an absolute steal right now.
