Train Noob Question :D

On my return journey home theres a like bulletin thing that says

There are currently no Metrolink tram services across Manchester City Centre while the lines are being upgraded. A bus service is running during the normal Metrolink operating times between Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly, and also between G-Mex (Deansgate) and Manchester Piccadilly. Buses run every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday 7am - 7pm, and every 20 minutes from 7pm & Sundays.

As ive only ever traveled by train once in my life, i was wondering do i have to pay for this?? or does my ticket cover it :S

Usually you just have to show them your ticket to use the bus service

You'd normally have to pay for the tram ride, so I assume the bus costs too.

If its a replacement service organised by the train company then your ticket will cover it. A similar thing has happened to me several times. I just got on the bus and showed them my ticket. Best advice would be to take some spare change just incase though .

As said above, if it is a rail replacement bus service, your ticket will cover it

Generally though these things are negotiated on between companies to ensure that customers who have booked tickets do not get shafted.

Your train ticket also gets you on the metrolink. So should get you on the bus service.

But take extra money just incase, it shouldnt be that much.
