Train Rage

Was this in the quiet section of the train? If not then I don't think he had to turn them down.

I've had several people ask me to turn it down, I normally do as I'm considerate however there has been a few times I've polity told to GFY.

I was once talking to someone in a quiet section of the train and some dude started mouthing off about how it's a quiet section you can't talk in here. He didn't like it when I asked him to fight me for it... He left the carriage :(

You should make a thread- this is a more worthy topic for this title. I think the GD'ers will agree.

Is it only me that is taking this as you being in the wrong?

Possibly, I guess the lack of information didn't help.

Those who asked polity got what they requested, those who were rude got told to GFY or stand and bang. I don't like people being rude at the best of times so disturbing me/getting mouthy and even touching me to get my attention puts me in not the best of moods. This was when I had patience and reason and I must admit these days I seem to lack both at the best of times.

Again though there is a quiet section for a reason.

1) Man up
2) Noise cancelling headphones with closed back design
3) Repeat 1.

Surely listening to music so loud that you know it could be annoying people, is already being rude. Hardly surprising that people approach you in a rude way, is it? Stand and bang? Are we in south central LA?

iPhone/iPod headphones seem to be the worst offenders when it comes to leaking noise. That and any other cheap **** headphones (but I'm a headphone snob anyway, so meh) ;)

The Dr Dre Studio headphones are by far the worst I have heard. Having bought a pair I could not believe how loud the next person could hear them.

I was undecided on them and a pair of Bose QC15 which you can't hear at all really when very loud, shame the Bose just wasn't as good for me personally.

I now need a second pair when travelling abroad as I know people would ask I turn them down.

Not really, to me the music is of a tolerable level. I don't have it on max. I don't go in the quiet section of the train. If you want quiet and are that bothered by it then people have the choice of going in to that section of a train. Not really, if I approach someone asking them to turn off their headphones ( in quiet section ) I'll ask polity and I've never had anyone say no.

Stand and bang is a commonly used MMA/Boxing/Fighting what ever term and to the best of my knowledge doesn't originate from LA.

One of our local bus drivers is a head case when it comes to music volume. Even if there's a SLIGHT bit of noticable drumming or something leaking, he'll stop the bus and walk up the aisle before threatening the culprit.

I see so many people wearing the Dre headphones and I've gotta say they do leak a lot of noise - I thought they were meant to be good!?

Its the tube though, anything is better than the sound of a squealing train....

Hahaha. Someone should start an impromptu jam session at the back.

Small Marshall belt amps, guitars and a set of drum sticks + film and upload to YouTube = win.

It's the pillocks who just play it off their phones that really grates me. Why on earth do I or anyone else want to listen to some crappy dance hall/grime/urban/dnb or any other crap you get on Chanel AKA!?

If you have been asked a number of times then clearly your volume and/or choice of leaky headphones are clearly getting on peoples nerves, thus the problem could be you ;)

edit: Re- Read your last response and it seems you arn't such a horrible person :D
