Random thread of the year goes to ;)

Just been on my trampoline ( 15ft I think ) and am quite knackered.. and sweaty..

I've always wondered, but never been able to find out.. how do trampolines compare to going to the gym ?

Someone here must know !

Thanks :p

they're as bad for your joints as running is, i.e. fairly bad if you do it for twelve hours a day, 7 days a week, but otherwise they're excellent excersize

anything that gets you hot and smelly and good fun cant be bad for you, cant see it being as bad for you as running.

they are actually useful for kids with constipation

on the other hand they are the bane of my life at the moment

good weather + kids + trampolines = lots of fractures
[you can also substitute 'adults + bbq + booze' for 'kids']

I love mine but I'm used to a indoor trampoline and out door ones are a lot less springy and much harder when you land. It's warm enough to go on now so should be awesome fun when I get a house party going in the summer.

i loveeeee trampolines! i can go on for hours!
Just make sure you video it.

I remember being told we were doing trampolining in fifth year PE at school. It sounded bad at first, until you found out one of the hottest girls in sixth form was teaching and demonstrating. Ah, good times.

Very good for exercise - I used to do weight training Monday, Wednesday and Friday - and on my 'rest days' I'd make sure I did some trampolining.

Lost so much weight and gained so much muscle. It was scary :P
