Does he have what it takes?

The question is, does anyone have what it takes to be a long term manager these days. Might as well put the job up as a part time vacancy.

Looks like Verm is on his way out.

City want Valdes. What a joke, Hart is not a bad keeper, why would they want to replace him with Valdes?

City close on Valdes: Manchester City are set to sign Victor Valdes with the goalkeeper's move to Monaco on the brink of collapse, according to the Daily Star. The Spaniard is playing out his final season at Barcelona and was expected to join the French club as a free agent in the summer but a deadline to sign a binding pre-contract has now passed. The paper reports that Monaco owner Dmitry Rybolovlev has been angered by this and his club will now turn their attentions to Hannover’s Ron-Robert Zieler instead, allowing City to nip in and claim Valdes.

I never meant Valdes is a joke but why would an ENGLISH team want to replace ENGLAND's #1 goal keeper? Thats what I find to be a joke. If Valdes signs for City, then Hart must go. Then again, Iker at Madrid is sitting on the bench and he is Spain's #1... or is he? Maybe Lopez will get the nod now over Iker at the world cup?

this kid is already an idol.

United close in on Borussia Dortmund star Ilkay Gundogan: Manchester United "are sure they have won the £25million battle" for Germany’s Ilkay Gundogan, according to the Daily Star on Sunday. The paper says that David Moyes believes the Borussia Dortmund playmaker is the most likely of his midfield targets to move to Old Trafford this summer. Dortmund are ready to cash in on the 23-year-old in the summer as he will only have one-year left on his contract.

Drogba back at Chelsea?

Drogba could be in line for Chelsea return: Didier Drogba is considering rejoining Chelsea when his contract with Galatasaray expires in June according to Duncan Castles in the Sunday Times. The paper says Drogba has been offered the chance to start his coaching career under Jose Mourinho and to join the first-team squad as a back-up striker and that Roman Abramovich, the Chelsea owner, has sanctioned the approach. While the MLS remains interested in taking him to America this summer, Drogba is assessing the option of a move to Chelsea.

Paper Round's view: The story is written by Duncan Castles who is known to have close links to Jose Mourinho so there must be at least some grain of truth in it. The key phrase could be 'back-up' striker. If Drogba did move it is hard to imagine him settling for this tag and few would back against him cementing a place in the side even at the age of 35. After big money spells in China and Turkey, Drogba might prefer to remain the undisputed top dog at an MLS franchise but a return to Chelsea certainly provides an intriguing alternative.

Would to see this guy on UTD but don't see it happening so soon after him joining Roma and being their best player.

Not seen much of this kid but seems like your typical Arsenal/Wenger signing.

Wenger confirms Arsenal interest in Griezmann

The Real Sociedad forward has been in impressive goalscoring form this season, earning him a France call-up, and the Gunners boss says that he is on the club's radar

The 22-year-old has been in impressive form so far this season, scoring 19 goals across all competitions to help his side into sixth place in La Liga.

Arsenal remain in the market for a striker to reduce some of the goalscoring burden on Olivier Giroud, having failed with January moves for Alvaro Morata and Miroslav Klose.

David Luiz to Barca is looking like it is back on.

Barca renew interest in Luiz: The impending exit of Carles Puyol has led to Barcelona renewing their interest in Chelsea's David Luiz, reports the Daily Telegraph. Puyol announced yesterday that he will leave the Catalan giants this suummer and a €30 million (£24.7 million) is now expected for the 26-year-old Luiz. Barca hope to conclude a deal before the World Cup and the report adds that while Luiz is not agitating for a move, it is understood that he would be keen to join the Spanish club. Barca had a formal bid for the Brazil international rejected last summer with Chelsea resolute in their view that Luiz is not for sale.
