Have you ever travelled before?
What you said is true, and that'll waste some days, but there are SO many times where you need a bus/taxi to get somewhere, entrance fee for things, etc etc

ask mummy nicely for some extra cash

credit cards??? + what can you do to make you money while travelling?. mabye a bar job in australia would be nice.

Maybe you could sell your PC before you go....? I'll give you £100 for it. That'll pay for your taxi fare to and from the airport on a couple of legs of your journey.

credit card goes without saying, just a grand or two interest free for a year in case of starvation

Or you could offer to take a teddy bear through customs when you're in Thailand... I've heard people get paid a nice amount of money for doing things like that.

For cash in hand im guessing bar job, restaurant, cleaning, farm work like berry picking, digging holes, carying stuff etc

Yes, i will need to earn another 2k whilst in thailand/oz or save the money beforehand. If i save more then i will have a greater daily budget or be able to do more

oz mate is your best bet, cash in hand work is fairly easy to come by.. thai work is incredibly low paid
