Treadmills - Any particular make/model?

Manual treadmills are utterly crap, I'm sure some store will have one on display, jump on it and regret even trying one.

Because they are powered by your movement they basically constantly speed up and slow down, its jerky, uncomftable, un-natural and they slip a lot. They'll also be made of pee poor metal that if you try anything as insane as, jogging, or something, will fall apart in no time.

Some things you really do have to spend some money on to be worth it, a decent treadmill, (decent versions seem to start around £500 + new), will last a heck of a lot longer, give you a decent motor so you don't get better at running then get stuck at 8kph or something daft, won't slip and slide and be generally unsafe to use and will have a far better sprung deck to give a little cushioning, but not to much. A couple cheaper ones I tried in a showroom were all about the "cushioning" and it was like trying to run on a trapoline, very jarring and uncomftable.

Yeah I thought as much about manual ones.

I dont want to get a cheap new one. I am just looking for a cheap older one ;)

Something reliable I can look out for that is hard wearing but not super expensive.

Im not in a hurry I just want to keep my eye open for any bargains on the bay or freeads.

Anyone know what this is like: nordictrack 2500r? Cant seem to find much about it on the net.

I've got one and it's absolutely brilliant.

Checkout here - http://www.treadmill-running-machine-review.co.uk/compare_treadmills.html and then here - http://www.treadmill-running-machine-review.co.uk/nordictrack_C2500_treadmill_review.html

And this is where I had it from - http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/Resty...55QQ_sidZ366032943QQ_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em322

There isn't a C2500 there but ring them up.
The C2000 is still an excellent machine and cheaper - http://www.treadmill-running-machine-review.co.uk/nordictrack_C2000_treadmill_review.html

Its not a C2500 its 2500 R. Is that an older version of it?

Ill send you a link to the machine in question through your trust.

No wonder I missed it.
Weird, the control panel looks nothing like mine and the whole machine looks like it's had a complete revamp.
The other strange thing is putting the name into Google Images because I can't find one image that looks like the one on Ebay.
I wonder if there are Nordictrack forgeries out there?

Just wondering if it was a really old model? I dont mind if it is as they are a good make so as long as its a good build I dont mind.

I couldnt find anything that looked like it either.

Searching through the nordictrack manuals they do a 2500 R, so i guess its just an old model.

I will also vouch for Nordic Track, I've had a C2500 for about a year now - and it gets some heavy use - its been absolutely flawless for me. Great features, very sturdy even though i'm a big lad, it keeps going for hours without starting to struggle, one of the best purchases I've made.

I don't use the feature now but it helped when I started to get back into running - I'm talking about running against 4 computer opponents which is brilliant and does push you.
I also used the performance ones but I now just use the basic and touch the speed/incline when I feel like it.
Did you ever use the I-fit cards? - because mine was reconditioned I didn't get them.

I'm at the point now where I set my goals myself instead of following the workouts. Never really bothered with the iFit cards, the programs on there were more than enough for me, and then I decided to go for endurance running than speed, which meant 30-40 minute workouts were not for me anyway.

Infact, if you want the iFit cards I've got, let me know.
