Tri-Fire AMD Brethren

Scotty is it that red button? I pressed it and it's still on the first bios as far as i can tell. Is there some special trick to using it?

No trick - turn off - press button - you will see a light on the bottom go off and another come on.

Failing that go into bios - goto tools - then bios flash back - there you can force the other bios.

I think it's good now ta, busy testing it all at the moment. Mrs is about to come home and see empty boxes everywhere. #Doghouse

You have 2 Bios's. Flash one to the latest and have done with it. You've always got your old one to flick back to if need be.

When you go to the IVY-E bios it auto flashes both :(

Get cleaning then :D

Good to see your up n running again Matt, shame the Sammy greens weren't compatible. Would have been interesting to see what you could have got out of them on X79. New board looks a lot better for trifire too.:)

Cheers mate, loving it so far. Just have to be patient now while i tune everything up, it really takes time. I'll miss the sammy greens, but these doms plats are awesome.

I kinda wish id kept mine too, they're supposed to hit pretty high speeds on Z87/Z97. I suspect X79 is a whole different beast when it comes to clocking compared to your previous sb setup.

Updating the bios and everything is unstable now. Shame as I'd worked up to 4.5ghz with 2400mhz and tight timings. Back at stock now while i retune everything. :(

The bios options on the ROG boards are staggering, I had a read through the memory tuning options on my board in sig, me brain almost went into meltdown. Not that there's a lot of brain to start with.:D
