Tribes 2

well the only server i can find thats at all playable is =REBELS= or summit
its playing katabatic base++
its popular and ive seen some old m8s on there, however ping is anything from 100-150+ :( ... so Its HO *** !!

Aye, Tribes2 was one of the best games going :)
Good on dialup or on broadband and arenaline rushes a'plenty.

I think from the point of release so I joined Tainted Souls around 2001 / 2002? Can't remember now :)

hmmm, did you play under the tag .Ts ? i knew a few oldies from that clan.
i started off on dial up playing for =IFC=, who were more a community group than competative clan.
moved onto [EM], Electric Mayhem and ran that with DeeVee and a few others.
then as t2 was practically dead, im ashamed to say i joind [D] a french clan !!
yes shoot me now !

i dont know how i ever played on dial up, impossible to do anything other than HO or TM
 
I was just dossing around in Tribes2 when a mate joined Tainted Souls ( Ts- ). Being a cocky little git in my teenage youth I asked to join them proclaiming I was amazingly good and could beat them all. They owned me ;(

I joined them anyway and built up quite a reputation for using cloak. I could wipe out some of the most defended bases in a few seconds. I then progressed to doing that in clan matches and cloak capping as well which really ****** opposing clans off :)

Then everyone copied me :(

I think we were 7th or 8th on the European Ladder.

haha, nice one lol. Cloak was awesome just wiping them out.
 
Top game !

This made PC gaming awsome, once you got over the steep learning curve :)

It was so varied and just brillient for it's time, real hardcore stuff I loved it.

Used to love sneaking up behind those heavies as a lighweight and giving them a right good shock in the ass :)

BF2142 got me thinking of Tribes 2 when i seen they were doing mix and match with the pack layout, plus things like the active camoflague being included brought back good memorys for sure :D
 
a classic game, I played both tribes and tribes 2, indded for its time the gameworld was huge and the options with remote turrets, aircraft and land based vehicles was great.

I too used to like going stealth with a small vehicle and going for the flag or sneaking up on heavies :p

Stealth was excellent and so were the vehicles. :Run over him:!!! :p
 
Fired this up last night and found several servers with players. There was one 32 player CTF and several with bots and players. I joined a lakrabbit game for an hour or so, was mighty fun! :D

Do you mind posting up the 32 player IP, i think i have it but the one i go onto is usually bot. Lakrabbit games are classic.
