Played for like 3 hours yesterday. Still not sure what I think of the new maps though. I think it's the adjustments made to gravity on them. Makes me feel like I'm barely moving, which isn't great for a fast FPS. Temple ruins is still too big for what it is, too. Sunstar seems the complete opposite, feels really small.

I quite like the idea of a midfield base on sunstar reminds me of the old midfield bases on old tribes, Sunstar could also do with a couple of larger hills gaining speed on that map is difficult compared to others. Also needs less towers along the sides currently its far too sniper friendly with it being so open. I think it has great potential when they start making feedback changes on it.

As for temple ruins, its shrank from what it previously was i think(removed the giant volcano) to me it doesnt seem to flow as well but i've only played it once so not found any new routes etc.

Quite a nice patch though, fixed quite a few niggling bugs cant wait to see whats next.
 
Indeed, overall i think it's a very solid patch.. the new maps could do with some tweaks, so we'll have to see.

I like the new generator rooms, much more interesting.

Definitely. The generator room on Sunstar is excellent. Sunstar is, overall, an excellent map. The gravity just feels weird to me, and its a bit tricky to get up speed. Im sure feedback and future patches should sort most of these issues.

I'm now wondering if they have ditched Bella Omega completely. Sunstar seems to incorporate most of the elements from it. I wouldn't be surprised if they did, no one seemed to like Bella Omega.

Temple ruins is a lot better than it was. Jongo is right though, it doesn't flow very well imo.

My issue with sunstar is that you can't fly off the cliff with a shrike, fly around the edge using the cliff as cover and then pop up at the enemies side. Even though you are not falling to your death in a shrike you insta die still.
 
Bella was okay in Closed beta, and in each iteration they made it worse and worse.

Yeah, I quite liked Bella on many levels. It had plenty of flag grabbing routes, a pretty good gen room and flowed well. At least it didn't have screwed up gravity.
I'm still not sure what I think of three normal gravity maps and two low gravity maps. The low grav maps feel really weird.
 
I quite liked the third iteration of bella where they added the friend or foe shields instead of the blast doors, that to me was when it was perfectly fine.
 
Hmmm, is it me or is the hit detection off?

I can hit guys pretty square and no damage occurs, then sometimes it seems like the shot was off and they get damage... I find myself seeing the enemy literally fly throw the remnants of my discs/arrow and sustain no damage.

Annoying.

Yeah currently the hit pings are off a bit so you get them as a delay its really weird when using the chaingun not knowing if your hitting them to a second later when the damage notifications come in. I think a hotfix may have been deployed or is in the works.
 
I've been playing doombringer mainly and got 52% of the mods.

The launcher just makes me laugh when I get 200m hits and so on. Watching them try to shoot it down in the process. :D
